It can be scary but it gives a sense of adventure … There are not too many such bridges around so relatively unique … It is also one of the known symbols of the town. But I guess now it is being mishandled. I am told that the renovation was also probably not done properly. Why did a clock maker get the project to renovate a 230 meter long 19th century bridge ? Why do you need to have prohibition in 21st century ? Most likely DM and politician wanted their palm to be greased before awarding the contract. Both MLA and DM need to be arrested. But they decided to arrest security guard. Looks like BJP politicians ( MLA level) now in power for so long in Gujarat have started following Congress era playbook.
