What is his role? Bowl half ass bowling quota and chew gum longer than this stay at the middle. Really not sure on what basis we made him a captain/vice captain. BCCI is such a pathetically ran organization.

This is same trait i have seen in Chahal. Somehow all underperformer hide their ineptness by chewing gum in field

In LOI matches, the No. 6 batsman is supposed to bat at higher SR than the top order.  But yesterday, Dandiya's SR was lower than that of Gill,  VadaPav, Loli and Iyer.  .   Same thing happened in t20 series as well.     I feel,  henceforth, Dandiya should come out to bat with a sharp dandiya stick instead of a cricket bat in order to slog better.

Not able to provide the acceleration needed at the end of the innings. One of the best hitters shouldn't be going just over run a ball in T20s.

Timidness ?:p:

Or maybe he understood that it's better to play for himself and stat pad instead of being selfless.

Jadeja has done that millions of times, and is still enjoying the support from all the fans across.

Pandya of 2017 CT Final is long gone, someone who was motivated to win the game even when all was lost. He had that ability to fight fire with fire. Now the Pandya we have got is a scared pussy who will chicken out the moment things start to get tough.

India don't need a refresh, it needs a reboot. But that's never gonna happen because don't give a damn about cricket.

Sehwag made 82  in 2003 finals?? Would anyone call it as a clutch knock, the match was over once India lost 3 early wickets.

Same thing with Pandya's 76, match was over by the time he came to bat. So him scoring 76 runs  was more due Pakistani bowlers relaxing than this guy's great batting.

Sehwag atleast had Dravid and Yuvraj.

Bigger question is what is his role in this team. It is his eight year in international cricket and team has no clue what is his role.

He seems to take the new ball when it makes no sense. He had a new ball bowler whose bowling was useless if he  bowled outside powerplay.

That is one innings, and that super flukey 90 is SA, I wonder if any player ever got so much mileage from two match losing innings like this wannabe WIndian

everyone wants to score at 120-125 SR and stat pad to as many runs as possible

Problem with Pandya is he can't even stat pad well. The guy scores 25-30 runs and gets out, even in ODIs, where you don't always have to accelerate and hit the top gear after reaching the mark of 25-30 runs.

That's the problem, one size fits all approach won't work for everyone.

There is need of only one accumulator..some should have the ability to crank up while some should be an out and out Dasher.

Same is with bowling, you need variety. But all Indian cricket is looking for line length short height 125kph trundlers.
