His SR is 138 which is low for lower order hitter who is supposed to bat in last 5-7 overs. Rohit, KL have similar SR.

From 2016 onwards,

Pandya - 138

Jadeja - 140

Karthik - 146

Patel - 164

Iyer - 171

and Pandya has played more than double number of matches than most of the players.

His image is of some sort of big hitter different from Rohit, KL and Kohli, but SR is lower with inconsistency.

Kohli - 140

Sharma - 143

KL - 139

Iyer - 136

Hooda - 150

Kishan - 128

Samson - 140

He is one of the slowest batsman for his position in Indian team.

Down the order is as good as anyone in India and he can bowl and field, overall Sr also better than most.

Indian batsmen don't want to bat down the order and our bowlers can't bat,if anything we need another pace bowling allrounder like him.

1. No one else got so much opportunity to improve their numbers.

2. His numbers are not better than most. Rather it's worse than most.

3. Thread is about his batting ability. Not a thread asking him to be dropped.

with all his injuries and back problems and that batting stance (reworked in past few years), I don't think he will be a quick scorer any more. I expect his avg SR to be around 140. his bowling has looked decent, and may become more relevant than his bowling

How many all rounders have better t20 record than him in entire history of T20Is?

Pandya Bat - 25@145

Bowl - 27@8.2

Shane Watson is one. How many more?

There are several with similar records in spin [not sure about pace] if one digs around. among spin-bowling contemporaries: shabbadabba (shadab), moeen, axar patel all score at good SR, and are decent bowlers.
