Let’s be honest, This World Cup was lost the minute the squad was announced

Lmao what a joke of a squad, 4-5 trundlers selected for pitches offering pace and bounce  Ashwin coming out of nowhere to claim Bishnoi/Kuldeep’s spots, idiots like KL and Yuzi being persisted with for no reason even after outputting failure upon failure. Shami another person suddenly coming out of nowhere into the main squad. Only 2-3 actual t20/LOI specialists in Hardik, Arshdeep and SKY.

Thanks god we beat Pak in the first game somehow and crashed out before giving them a chance to take revenge :giggle:

So you weren't honest before right up to the SF, when you kept writing Ind will win?

PS I recall your post on one of my threads:

I know I will be shot down for saying this but I'm gonna try anyway.

I think the pitch did improve for batting after the first 15 overs. That's why Pandya was able to play some of those strokrs do easily.  So I don't think the gap between the 2 teams is as big as we saw yesterday.  ENG are better but yesterday was an outlier.

Probably but hard to say...but then Rohit said that India would have batter first...looking at the BD match and aus Afghanistan match...

Don't disagree with this and I also felt the same during Afghan-Australia match on this track. The pitch was very sluggish when Australia batted and it became better under lights when Afghanistan batted.

But last year WC, this year Asia cup and a couple of matches here should have forced us to analyse this and we should up our par score by 20+ more runs. We were happy with 160. Our batters just thought that if we are not able to hit spinners here, England will struggle too.

Let's say that is true... Then why did Rohit say he still would have wanted to bat first.

Let's say they want to put on a score. Accounting for pitch and batting of England, shouldn't they have gone for 200 plus total. Rohit did take some risks but he played a lot of dots. Problem is we don't have the ability to play the field. We allowed england to bowl as they want it instead of forcing them to think otherwise. That would have happened if we had pant or sky come in earlier instead of two anchors wasting balls.
