No comparison really. India is making progress every year, even look at Youth Games or Asian Games for instance. Pakistan is absolute zero. 

 

We may be the second most populated country but not a 1st world country, not a totalitarian state where gifted children are picked by authorities at age 6 to train for Olympics, for most of our history we never had proper sports culture. All that is changing, in Tokyo we were in medal contention every single day of the event, you will see us cross double digits in Paris in 2 years time. 

 

You are right in a sense that we must improve a lot, but our record isn't equally embarrassing as Pak. FGS, they haven't won a single medal in their last 7 appearances in Olympics, sab milake they have had top 10 finishes hardly 2-3 times if you exclude hockey.
