I don't know about India, but in the US, dozing off behind a wheel (even if you are not driving) is considering driving under influence - equivalent to driving intoxicated and is punishable by law with an arrest.

Any driver who causes an accident can claim that he dozed off.. If he is tired/sleepy/not in a position to drive, he better not drive.

Even if there was a law about this he would easily get away with it because of his status right now, come on there's no point about thinking what may have been given we simply don't have proper enforcement of even existing laws here!

As for the law, even in US, it could depend on the state. Probably 2-3 states may have such laws if I am not wrong.

He has already fulfilled his talent and he ll be fine in 3 months.. most important is there is no internal injury .. everything else can be rectified.. most are superficial except knee..

are the internal injuries or lack thereof already confirmed?

3 months??

It will easily take 8-9 months to recover from these injuries and back on field. Even that will depend on the status of his knee injury.

These are multiple injuries and the setbacks are nothing sort of traumatic. One injury or a fracture leads to 5-6 months of recovery. This is much worse than that.

Honestly what worries me about pant is that he does not seem to be too adaptable to fame and money.

He is rich enough to keep a professional driver. A proper one for 15 lakhs a year or so. Many prem league players have 24 hour drivers cause they dont want to cause issues behind the wheel.

Its not just this incident. He is overweight for being a professional sportsman.

Talent is off the charts but there needs to be lot more to his game

it will be around 1 year before he can return. and by then, india may have moved on to other options permanently.

it's likely that during the recuperation period he may let himself go, and thus end up coming back to cricket very unfit. and the added impact of injuries could be even worse

Yes it will Be filed. He will get a notice and as per law he ll have to pay a penalty which he ll pay. His license will get an endorsement. Ab Khush. Now lets pray he gets well soon.

It isnt being done for my happiness and it is not connected to his recovery. These are two different things. Nobody is saying he should not get well soon.

Yes internal injuries are now ruled out as MRI of brain came fine. So its external injuries.

Skin grafting, lacerations: With proper anti biotics it gets fine in 4 weeks and by 7 weeks you would have new skin

Ankle and Knees : If not grade 3 tear its 6 weeks to 8 weeks

rehabilitation: 8 weeks.

overall 6 to 7 months. He is 25. He ll recover much faster than a person who is 45. He ll get the best rehabilitation and sports medicine experts and he is mentally pretty strong.. so lets pray his MRI of ankle and knees tomorrow comes back better..

Yes. He might get back to normal life in 3-6 months, but it is surely going to take him 9-12 months to be match ready again
