Our group seems relatively tougher as both Spain and England are good teams but we should be able to beat them and top the group.

Next round is more important. If we don't reach semis, will be quite disappointing.

 

I am sticking this in Other Sports section for now with announcement for people to know this is the hockey world cup thread.

 

For Olympics & FIFA world cup we made an exception by sticky it to the cricket section as the interest was huge.

Rookie mistake.. if you keep this away from where the most eyeballs are ,no ones going to follow this by going into the Other sports section

The 2023 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup will be the 15th edition of the Men's FIH Hockey World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's national field hockey teams organized by the International Hockey Federation. It will be held at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and at the 20,000 seat Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela, India from 13 to 29 January 2023

Kalinga Hockey Stadium, Bhubaneswar

Situated in the heart of India’s sporting capital, Bhubaneswar, the Kalinga stadium can hold a 15,000-strong crowd. Built Built inin 2013, the stadium has been witness to some of the most iconic moments in hockey history. It has had the distinction of hosting major sports events, both domestic and international, regularly.


Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium, Rourkela

Purpose-built to host the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar - Rourkela, say hello to India’s newest and biggest hockey arena! It can hold a record 20,000 spectators and built in just 12 months. Named after a freedom fighter ‘Birsa Munda’, the stadium on the campus of the Biju Patnaik University of Technology in Rourkela will set a new benchmark in international stadium design for hockey, providing one of the best spectator experiences in the world.
