In all fairness match should have ended in regulation time with a German victory, good that they won the shootout, Belgium win here would have been so undeserving. Mental toughness, clutchness so so crucial, hence proved again. All these pyrotechnics, bilateral dominance (Australia) can help you with seeding, getting past group stage etc. but ultimately champions are decided by ability to hold nerves. I am sure Punjab still has hockey fans as majority of players come from that state. CT discontinued WC no way, already enough voices about it Olympics hosting beyond our aukaat Asian Games, CWG doubtful.....govt showing no interest in hosting these FIH Pro League will be hosted across the globe. Only the state of Odisha has nurtured Indian hockey almost single handedly by building world class hockey stadiums and even sponsoring the national team.
