Need to separate politicians from sports bodies permanently and make them professionally run bodies independent of the govt - perhaps link funding to performance Good on the wrestlers for their protest and bringing this to light. He could be wrong, but demanding an arrest even after a FIR is manmaani it has political motive. That guy is a UP jaat , from SP and now with BJP. Scum wins despite being in any party. Now they are forced to take political help from the opposition to drive their point home. BJP has handled this poorly. These folks are heroes who have won multiple medals in the international arena. There is no molestation- the issue is that these wrestlers who have somehow managed to represent India in the Olympics and have done fairly well for the expectations barring Vinesh, who is an embarrassment in her Olympic record, they want to bypass the structure of getting selected for future olympics on their past laurels, hence denying younger wrestlers the chance to represent India. Once their demand was rejected, charges of molestation of 1000 girls was brought using the opposition toolkit. Not one of these girls have come forward, both Sakshi and Vinesh were happy with WFI president up until 2022.
