How do you explain the multibillion-dollar fines BP had to pay ($20.8 billion) for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill while the US banks basically paid nothing for something arguably much worse in 2008 crisis? Mind you, European banks have paid tens of billions in fines in the US for similar "corrupt" practices! Then you get the likes of MS, Intel, Apple, Facebook, Google, etc. getting away with abusing their positions almost completely scot-free or getting fined peanuts, compared to the fines these companies have paid in the EU. There's a reason the US banned EUV exports to China, & it has little to do with national security.
