Am I the only one reluctant to watch India when KL is in the playing XI ? Averages less than 35 in 45 tests. Is he Brijesh Patel’s karnataka quota guy ?

Throws away all the opportunities he gets

I have not seen any interviews yet, but I can put a shart that he or his captain or coach will try to spin it like this:

(1) Striking the ball well in the nets.

(2) Middling it while he is out there.

(3) Happy with the way ball is coming off the bat.

(4) Really seeing the ball well

(4) Unlucky bounce on that Todd Murphy ball. He's a very good bowler. Averages 26 in FC cricket.

(5) Just one knock away.

I can understand being patient with  Rohit or Kohli. Rohit has excellent record in odis and in tests in India,When in form both of them carry the team.

Rahul is complete useless fellow even when he is in so called form.He has always one inning wonder for most part of his career. His failures span for years on other hand.

He is another rahane in the making. Rahane does something similar.

6) Him playing out 70 balls softened the new ball for others to play freely on day2 & 3 , such an unselfish player

Spot on, you can live with failures if you know once in form these bozos can carry the team on their back for while.

Both him and Rahane are most useless investments India has made in last decade. Rahane cost India two t20 world cups and this bozo two world cups, One fifty over and one t20 not to mention countless test matches.

KL averages a mere 26 since 2018 over 24 test matches as a specialist batsman. This is a staggering level of fraud by the selectors.

A meek and depressed Rahane 2.0.

At least Rahane could captain, Rahul has zero brains or charisma.

Exactly. At least Rahane won a series for India in Australia from a hopeless situation. This guy is as dumb as they get when it comes to captaincy.

if this was a karnataka quota pick then i would 100% pick Mayank over KL,he is not a scaredycat like KL.

Karnataka has given a lot of players who could look soft. But feisty and up for the challenge. This guy looked like one at the start of his career. Then took a nose dive regressed massively. His strike rate drop in T20 reflects this. At one stage his career strike rate in T20 was 155. Now 139. 16 points drop in 4 years.  At the same stage Kohli's strike rate was 136. Now it is 138.  Someone who went through

Just looking at his face makes me want to puke and spit on his image even if it's on TV. I cannot stand this bloke.

I still remember Draavid sir backing of Kela after series of failures in Asia Cup and T20 biletrals just before t20 wc. Draavid sir said "he absolutely have full backing of TM and he knows what is expected from him". Soon after that kela delivered masterful performance in T20 wc. Let's wait for him to deliver masterful performance in this BG trophy hopefully we can get rid of him.

I can bet he cannot even perform in Cooch Behar trophy
