Rishabh Pant back in nets: BCCI

Encouraging news has been Rishabh Pant’s recovery. The wicketkeeper-batter, who underwent surgery after surviving an accident last December, is also making “significant progress”, having resumed batting as well as keeping wicket in the nets. “He is currently following a fitness programme... which includes strength, flexibility and running.”

looks like Pant worked hard to get back seeing how pathetic Bharat and Kishan have been :hatsoff:

Looking at these guys Pant can take rest for one more year and walk straight into the side with no practice.

I hope he is not rushed

ACL in AFL sports takes a full year to properly recover and then a further 3-6 months before a player feels confident to again trust his knee.

I expect a similar timeline for Pant, a return in around mid 2024 would be wonderful.

remains to be seen whether he will be old pant (especially in terms of stamina)

Cool. Has he hit any one-handed six ? That is a sign of him coming back close to his full form. Only thing we yet to know is whether there is any discomfort when he bats long or keeps long

He is not moving his legs comfortably ...that a huge concern

I thought whole year was gone. So his progress is faster than expected. Definitely they must have him play in domestic cricket for full match and see how his body is holding up.
