The Hundred was fantastic. Thankfully there are no teams like MI London, Surry superkings and Kensington Knight Riders.

There will be... Gora crowd  may racially abuse or create funny songs about these teams if names are changed by owners.

I saw Prithvi Shaw open for Northampton...by gawd what a poor technique. Every ball moving leg side and dabbing his bat with hand eye co-ordination.

He did score some boundaries but also kept slip fielders busy...eventually got out edging to 2nd slip.

Yuzvendra Chahal worked his magic to grab five wickets in his second successive match as Northamptonshire resisted a Leicestershire fight-back to secure a nine-wicket win in the English County Championship.

Following up on his 4/82 in the first innings, Chahal claimed 5/134 -- a nine-wicket match haul -- as Northants bowled out Leicestershire for 316 to set an easy target of 137 in the Division Two County Championship

Essex have secured the services of Shardul Thakur for seven games for the 2025 County Championship, with the signing coming on the back of an outstanding Ranji Trophy season.

This will be Shardul’s first-ever appearance for a county team, with the Championship set to begin on April 4.

Representing Mumbai, Shardul had made 402 runs in 10 innings at an average of 40.20 before the Ranji semi-finals, which also included a hundred after his team were in a spot of bother. He has also picked up 34 wickets, including a hat-trick, in 17 innings, at an average of 21.67. Shardul is the second-highest wicket-taker for his team this season and is also one of five batters from Mumbai with 400 or more runs

He will run rings around batsmen in the early summer with his swing bowling.

This is actually good...Thakur can be back for the Eng test series with games under his belt.

Nithish Reddy should get some county time too... Surely he is a far better batsman
