Yes playing against depleted attacks. Check the attacks he scored his runs against. PCB has a habit of scheduling matches during IPL knowing teams will be depleted and their batsmen could make merry against them.

What sort of argument is that, why did Babar only get runs and not others in team ? Out of 46 ODI centuries which Virat has scored 15 ie 3rd of them have come against SL,BD and Zim. Cheap runs ??

Everyone gets runs against low level teams. But the fact is against top teams also Babar scored most of his runs against C and D level attacks. The Srilanka team Virat played against had Sanga, Mahela and Malinga.

Do not think there could be anything comparable to Bradman. Thats not just in cricket but all sports.

Bradman numbers and records will never be matched. Test batting avg. of 99 and 29 hundreds in 52 matches.

Right now Babar is Jack of all trades have a v.good ODI average of nearly 60, but a sub 50 avg. in Test and sub 45 avg. in T20 where he places more cautiously than anyother  batter is permitted by their team. He Avgs 71 in Pak. out of his 9 centuries 6 are in Pak.

With his batting approach in white-ball cricket donot think many teams will prefer this kind of player in their 11, but his style suites Pak batting set-up.

And they have been quite good in T20Is so far in last 2 years. Able to get into Semies and Finals in last 2 WCs.

Ind is thinking that they can not play both Rohit and Kolhi in T20Is even when they have ~140 sr. T20I has come far ahead of accumulators who tries to catch up on SR after a certain score.

Steve Smith is finding it hard to get a proper spot in Aus 11, Root is facing same issue, Williomson is on the same boat unable to find place in IPL's playing 11s.

But for  Babar it helps that they have a bowling that can win a sub-par score matches. Pak team has their own way of doing things and winning is not a major objective right now in ODIs and Test cricket for them.

He is playing cricket of may be 10-15 years ago but it helps Pak cricket and crowd, so that okay. Every1 hypes their countries cricketers, Ind is doing with Gill rt. now.

They tried to hype KL as well. Pak senior players and commentators are hyping Babar.

Pak senior players and commentators were not hyping Rizwan for a long time till I guess that Ind vs Pak Wc match. then only they started talking abt Rizwan and Babar in same levels.

Not sure where Ramiz said that but could have been a clickbait or shock value thing to lure the audiences to read the post

Pakistanis' obsession with finding their own nakli version of Kohli has absolutely driven them insane. All these statements are a result of that obsession.

First they did this with Umar Akmal, then with Ahmed Shehzad and finally they got to settle down on Babar. I mean he's a great player and all but this "King Babar", "Badshah Babar", " no less than Bradman" nonsense is just plain cringeworthy and reeks of desperation.

But again... It's Pakistan so no surprises.

this is all they can aim for. they will never compare folks with stewie (smith) or root-a-toot (root) since the latter two are too good test players, far beyond their mediocrities
