Shunya Kumar Yadav Problem

This is one of the biggest FTB and minnow bully since a prime Dhawan.

Can't win in clutch matches, can't perform when it truly matters and he gets rated as if he's a ABDV or Pollard.

Pollard won MI so many clutch games including finals. This guy fizzles under pressure every single time.

Funny thing is due to his performances in irrelevant games, he will be selected for years like Dhawan was until he gets exposed where it matters.

His game is a high risk game. He can literally fail in any game. or in all games pressure or no pressure.  He is an X-factor player.  He is neither a finisher nor an opener. He is a middle order batsman who may come early but rarely bats till the end. Hard to do that with high risk approach.  But as long as he is there he can completely put off the opposition's plans and strategies. Others have to play around him. This is why i don't want him in ODI. He can become villain overnight.  In T20 it's okay.

The issue is NOT SKY who is seen as a unique player (India for e.g. has not had a batsman with such 360 degrees ability. He is inspiring many young cricketers to play like him too, shaping how cricket in India could be played in the future). He does not need to be like anyone else.

The issue is with teams such as MI that are over-reliant on one player. One player cannot always pull a team. The law of averages can catch up negatively too. He has already given his best!

Agree that he is not necessarily a clutch player but a team has 10 other players.

Did ABDV win many clutch matches?

Exactly. One man cannot win matches. As  a team we should try to get the best out of him.  You don't achieve that by relying on him. Sehwag has produced some magical knocks in Tests. But he has often gone missing in ODIs randomly. We accepted it because that is his game.

every single game for MI Is a clutch game after their early losses and he scored 100 in their last clutch game.

THey got into a situation where every single game had to be a perfect game for them very early. But for him they would have already been out of the race.

Wasn't OP going to quit ICF? Even made a thread about that:phehe:

Anyway OP has a chronic problem where he disses all Indian cricketers (every single one of them!!!!), he may back someone for some time and eventually turn against him a few months later. Can't take such a poster seriously.
