You're talking as if Avesh, Khaleel and Prasidh are the bar. 

 

Bumrah, Rabada, Cummins and Hazlewood are the bar. Harshit at 22 can be fitter.

I'm comparing with the others coz as per our selectors those are better than Harshit. That's why you see likes of Avesh selected in bilateral series while Harshit had to wait ages to make his debut.

The ball that got Head was just awesome.If he can keep the ball there to lefties , he will be handful anywhere.He can use his short pitch deliveries as a weapon also.

 

He has to learn to be patient, just concentrate on basics not become another Siraj who wants wicket every delivery.

Man.. how the heck he got to this position? I am okay with  him being in Test plans. How is he regular in T20 and ODI?  Why is Prasidh sidelined from T20?

Forced hate? Why is Arshdeep in the squad then?  He was useless against Rampaging Nissanka as well in Asia Cup.

 

Harshit should be persisted with as series is in Australia.  Morkel needs to say  to him don't bowl silly off cutters.  Nissanka feasted on them.

Arshdeep already proved in one LOI format. Besides he was the highest wicket taker in VH last season.  Rana went for  6.20, 6.88, 7.57 against England in 3 games.

If BCCI is serious..they need to do whatever they can to turn Harshit and Gurnoor into a polished product..These guys have potential to pick up wickets with heat.. need to get them develop consistency..

 

better than investing in trundlers who will be mediocre or just good enough..we need bowlers who can dominate..and not just good enough..

Some extremely low ceiling Pacers in the list.  VHT is low quality tournament.  There is a reason folks like Tuktuk Raj rule that tournament.

Harshit has just made it to the team and barely played handful of games.

 

Did well vs Eng in ODIs and in CT (better than Shami)

 

In Australia even Haris Rauf is King so Pace works pretty well there.  Need to groom Harshit for WC in SA too.

Even Prasidh is a positive selection.

latest in a t20 he bowled 148.8k...he is fast when ever he wishes.

 

i saw some of his bouncers in one t20 and in Australia that nearly got the head of the batsmen- serious pacy bouncers. one of his bouncers hit the bangla batters head too...a little more faster impact and the batsmen would have retired hurt, instead the batsmen got wide awake and ultra careful.

Harshit Rana is not a high ceiling pacer by standard in LOIs. May be in Tests in the long run.  He looks like a cannon fodder from what i have seen. He is hyped purely because of his 145k which is why Haris Rauf was also hyped for.  He was going at 10 an over this IPL.  Even in the India A vs Pakistan A he was thrashed around.
