Lol such a corrupt TM ,it doesn’t matter who became selector they all fall in line in front of TM. They have already announced he will not play against pakistan and will be given red carpet welcome back in the game against Nepal. I haven’t seen this kind of cushioning ever provided to such mediocre performing player. I mean even a fit Rahul is tend to fail 9 out of 10 times in high pressure tournament and here they are taking an half fit and 100% mentally unfit Rahul for Asia cup and wc.

So true. They know that he is having a niggle so he won't be fit till 2nd sept but they are so sure that he will magically heal the next day and fit for Nepal clash. :cantstop: pagal bana rahe hain bc.

If Kishan or Samson have a good perfomance against Pakistan, what will the team management do,

They may still play him against Nepal on seniority quota

Even if Kishan or Sanju score a 250 against Pakistan, they will be benched next game. Kishan had to sit out for this Kela after scoring 200+ in BD where Rohit, Dhawan, Kela, Kohli did jack all whole series.

BCCI thought of KL is next big thing and placed all their eggs in 1 basket.

Earlier BCCI use to back only proven performer but this time they wanted to get some sellable faces before Rohit and Kolhi are phased out of Intnl cricket.

Pant and KL were their two picks to stardom (who will bring sponsors and eyeballs for years to come)and it failed, now they are backing Gill and he is getting to play all formats even if he is not fit for T20s or tests.

Last two managements have left with no other option to pick KL even if he is injured. He is undropable in ODIs now.

Do not think Kishan and Samson are intnl material, be it temperament or technique. Samson has just 1 century in FC cricket.

If kishan would have been playing for any other team tham MI he would have not been in the team.

Comes down to number of sponsors you have. KL Rahul due to IPL has accumulated quiet a number of sponsors. That is why selectors are keeping him relevant.

Why has he got so many sponsors? What has he done in the IPL? Has he been in the winning team or helped the winning team with match winning performances? I am sorry I don't follow the  IPL much.

The peerless KL in international cricket so far has had a eminently forgettable career.

Pant and the peerless KL should never be compared or even spoken of in the same vein.

Pant before his injury was at least in test cricket a person who could turn a match and has given pleasure even to our opponents with his batting exploits.

The peerless KL is a nobody.

The 1 orange cap he won and being in the conversation for it every other year ie a pointless award for the highest runscorer in the IPL.

yeah ..... in  limited overs cricket total runs mean nothing. It always has to be in relation to the overs consumed for same. Even then it is a partial picture because the asking rate also matters. The RR can on its own be good but still lesser than the ask rate. Then it is irrelevant that it is good.

Basically all that matters in LOI is who won the game? Did one help win the game?

Gavaskar's 36 n.o. looks good in vacuum.  When you say in 60 overs..... it is like "Yikes"!!!!! Will contend for the worst ODI innings ever!
