Ashwin is clearly a temp selection due to conditions.  He will be gone after the world cup for sure. But Jaddu might stick around. He will play world T20 in all likelihood.

Yeah, it shouldn't be like just bowling your quota of overs without being effective and scoring some useless 15-20 runs. Impact matters if the mindset is to win the World Cup.

Kohli, Rohit, Ashwin, Shami, Jaddu all should retire (from ODIs) with immediate effect after the WC.

True.   He is a TTF.   The problem is our AR's cupboard is bare.  Axar is a darter and can only be used as a 6th bowler, that too on helpful pitches.  Thakur is useless.  Dandya remains injured 4ever.   What choice are we left with going forward?

They could develop someone in all these years. 

But they give chance to people like Dube who is not even a Ranji level Cricketer then how can our cricket improve.

Problem is that he has to bat at 7 because none of top 5 can bowl. Otherwise either he'll bat at 8 or won't play. No. 7 should be batting AR not bowling.

All these days I was feeling that we were under utilising him at 7, he needs to be in middle order at 4/5 like yuvi etc. Now I realise even 6 is too high for him. Pat Cummins have better impact with his bat in this world cup than Jadeja

Yes it looks like easy going by scorecard but I have watched Jadeja enough to feel he would have bottled both of these.

I don't know how can anyone defend Jadeja the batsman.
