You are not wrong. He is better suited to 5/6, where you can take some time before accelerating.

 

But it can not work first time you try, especially on a sluggish pitch in a pressure game.

Not a natural batsman. All his high scores are in losing cause when matches are done and dusted. Doesn't have ability to negotiate tough spells, doesn't have long levers to bat at 8, doesn’t have mental strength to finish games.

He is a good bowler on turning pitches.

Yes. 15 years of LOI and his batting always left a lot to desired. I'll excuse him for 2019 though that was on Dhoni. If Dhoni even took a few risks before the 48th over, we could have won the match.

Batting is his weakest suit. So obviously lot will left to be desired.
