They would lose to these C or D teams in bilaterals but up their game in ICC events. Completely opposite to India. Their team selections during ICC events is top draw. They have a minnow mentality while playing in ICC tournaments. They play with a nothing to lose mindset which reduces the pressure. That's why against real minnows who play with a similar mindset they feel the pressure and often tend to lose their games. And this minnow level mentality is tagged as "Cornered Tigers", "Unpredictable" etc. Edited April 25, 2023 by Tillu Norman, raki05 and deepdynamo 1 1 1

They are a fairly strong T20 side when they have their best players and all are in form. Only in the last 2 ICC tournaments, they did well. And that is simply because there are no expectations of them. An SF knockout for them in 2021 was seen as a good performance. On the other hand, a rubbish T20 side like India reached SF in 2022 but got lambasted by everyone.

May have steamrolled NZ in the Finals too. Australia were just too clutch in that game. It was The trophy right there. In 2022 they had the slice of luck but they did beat SA & NZ in semis. In bilaterals its a different story... They keep losing bilateral T20 series to likes of Eng Aus NZ & even lankans or lose one odd game to even Zimboks. Even during the ODI series in Eng before WC 2019 they were absolutely thrashed by England, But Pakistan did beat them in WC in a high scoring thriller. India once went past Pakistan riding on individual brilliance of Kohli were sure shot semi finalists. SKY is anyways a beast against minnows. An average squad that got rightfully owned in Semis. That somehow is luck. 19-20 luck always go towards poyzz on these tournaments. Its not as if they play some exceptional cricket. Who would have expected Netherlands to beat South Africa? LOL Not defending our own sh!tty team but if we had 10% of the luck they had, we would have won more silver wares. Don't forget, their biggest win i.e 1992 world cup was purely due to luck and DL screwup.

Don't forget, their biggest win i.e 1992 world cup was purely due to luck and DL screwup. We used all our luck in that game vs Poyzz I think. They had us that day. On that spicy pitch & a huge ground chasing 48 off 18 was nigh on impossible. Luck is also subjective. Poyzz were unlucky to miss out on WC 19 Semis when kiwis sneaked in somehow. Even in that semi final in that T20 WC game vs Australia they dominated 90% of that game. Asia Cup final Rajapaksa getting dropped countless times... They had lankans on the ropes too. I genuinely believe they make most of the talent they have contrary to ours. They don't send washed up players to ICC tourneys since 2015 (Younus, Misbah Afretard) They make bold selection calls in the middle of tourney... Haris Sohail, Shaheen (WC 2019) Mohd Haris (T20 WC) India takes washed up Dhoni DK, Jadhav Boobi Koomar to sh** in ICC events. I still cannot imagine they kept Siraj who was running through teams in ODIs & picked harshal for WT20 lol Edited April 27, 2023 by Lone Wolf eulbninem, Bigg Brother, singhvivek141 and 1 other 4
Bigg Brother Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 (edited) Both India and Pakistan are mediocre teams. We don't have any rights to laugh at them knowing how shytty our team is despite the resources BCCI possess. Edited May 4, 2023 by Bigg Brother

While we haven't played a test match since 2007 and in T20Is india has been dominant. But since then in ODIs, Pakistan and India were neck and neck until 2013. Our batsmen who are otherwise average or mediocre tend to raise their game when they are playing against India.
