Nothing is done to rein in those who make these threats. As a Hindu, I have never felt threatened by any Sikh in Canada. A certain section may get involved in “disruptive activities” but there are people like that in India too (including the RW trolls). So far, these disruptive activities appear like barking on streets, empty vessels making some noise (same goes for trolls in India), and so on. If they want, they can waste as much time as they want on protesting against Hindus or whatever. We get to see Palestinians protests against Jews as well. In a way, it is amusing to see such events. What I do not like is an increase in crime rate, scams, blatant attitude, etc. PS Edited Thursday at 10:20 AM by zen

These groups have been criticized. And they are free to protest in front of any consulate (as long as law and order is maintained). Below is a group trying to disrupt celebrations last year. If you see the people appear to have come “straight off the boat” from India (there is no sophistication), look at their clothes, etc. Difficult to take such crap seriously (Canada should deport them):
G_B_
If the comments by the ambassador are true (a swung sword was 2 inches from him) then its time to wake up and tackle things. There is a difference between protesting peacefully and shouting provocative slogans calling for political figures to be physically harmed outside temples.
