The premier mens' doubles team in Badminton atm - they should have a good shot at a medal at Paris. A lot of course is dependent on their fitness and form as well. Unfortunately, unlike the other Badminton powerhouses they are the only capable Doubles team atm which means that they are the sole hopes for the country in this event. They seem to have prospered a lot from Mattias Boe's mentorship who will continue to mentor them until Paris. Hopefully the go from strength to strength from here onwards. randomGuy

bharathh
Shooting camp underway in Korea before the Asian shooting championship. 17 quota places out of 24 possible up for grabs in Korea. So far India has got 7. Unlike other sports, a shooter wins a quota place for their country. The shooting federation can choose the appropriate shooter before the Olympics. https://sportstar.thehindu.com/other-sports/asian-shooting-championship-2023-indian-shooting-squad-national-camp-starts-after-asian-games-2022-hangzhou/article67408416.ece

bharathh
Indian shooters have have shown mixed form in the Asian shooting championships after their performances at the Asian Games. Main intention was to secure as many quotas as possible for the Olympics. 5 quotas have been secured so far with a couple of days of Skeet shooting to go. There are a total of 24 possible quotas (2 per max in 12 events) out of which India currently has 12. We have maxed qualifications in the Mens 10m air rifle, Mens 50m rifle 3 positions and Womens 10m air rifle. The pistol shooters still have a ways to go. All our inform pistol shooters (esp the women) had a bad Asian Championships. Will need to wait till Jan for a second shot at qualifying for the Olympics. Although the names below show who won the quota, they do not necessarily need to represent India at the Olympics. That will be decided by form before the event. Events we still need to qualify in with (quota) available: Women's 50m 3 positions (1) Mens 10m air pistol (1) Mens 25m Rapid Fire Pistol (1) Womens 10m air pistol (2) Womens 25m Pistol (1) Mens trap (1) Mens skeet (2) Womens trap (1) Womens skeet (2) Rudrankksh Patil Men's 10 m air rifle Arjun Babuta Sarabjot Singh Men's 10 m air pistol Swapnil Kusale Men's 50 m rifle 3 positions Akhil Sheoran Anish Bhanwala Men's 25 m Rapid Fire Pistol Bhowneesh Mendiratta Men's trap Mehuli Ghosh Women's 10 m air rifle Tilottama Sen Manu Bhaker Women's 25 m pistol Sift Kaur Samra Women's 50 m rifle 3 positions Rajeshwari Kumari Women's trap

Won 3 lost one in Indian women's trip to the finals (including one against a Chinese ranked #8). Indian women one win away from winning the championships. Men bowed out in the QFs with a hard fought loss vs the Japanese. Chirag-Satwik didn't play this tournament. Prannoy and Lakhsya Sen hoping to cement their places in the Paris Olympics in the next few tourneys.
bharathh
Indian women win gold .. goes to 3-2 though. Awesome performance. Anmol Kharb and Ashmita Chaliha the other singles prospects for India. Bit inconsistent atm - but hope they go from strength to strength from here.
