We even played Zampa well. We succumbed to this out of form bowling unit once Rohit got out. That's the legacy of this team. Link to comment

Nikola
Australia can say same what if they would have won 1996 or 1975? They lost it though. Btw 2003 or 2015 we lost to better team but this time it was our worldcup. Ultimate_Game 1 Link to comment

Ironically they used the pitch and conditions much better than our paceman: Starcs reverse swing, Cummins and Hazlewood bowling slow cutters into the pitch. Shami and Siraj dont have that skill. Shamis biggest strength -that "old fashioned upright seam" - is his big weakness too , he does not have a slower ball or cutter and not a special yorker. Siraj has that scrambled seam ball but did not bowl it much. It would have had less of an impact dew made the pitch quicker but did not see much variety from Siraj and Shami. They offered us a pitch suitable for Kumar and co :( Edited November 20, 2023 by vvvslaxman Link to comment
goose
Amongst all the chat about the 10 match streak, it's worth noting in our league game against Aus we were 3 down for not very many and but for them dropping Kohli we would have been 4 down very early staring at defeat. As it happens Kohli and KL rescued us that day. History doesn't quite repeats but it rhymes! Bigg Brother 1 Link to comment

Another group stage exit. Now go prepare for your whitewash in Aus where India have won last two series. The good thing about the Pakistan cricket team is that no matter what joys their fans derive from India's failures, they soon finish it with their own crappy performances lol. And I don't even have to comment on the general state of the country which anyway contributes to their depression. Link to comment
srgadjon
2003 final was a no contest. That Aussie side could have beaten India 10 out of 10 times. In 2023 sides are lot more closer and another day, India may have won but Australia was the better side on the day. Link to comment
