India should have destroyed this Aussie side whose bowling was below par right through bar Zampa. We even played Zampa well. We succumbed to this out of form bowling unit once Rohit got out.

They started tournament below par but were awesome in semis and in the final.

Ironically they used the pitch and conditions much better than our paceman: Starcs reverse swing, Cummins and Hazlewood bowling slow cutters into the pitch. Shami and Siraj dont have that skill. Shamis biggest strength -that "old fashioned upright seam" - is his big weakness too , he does not have a slower ball or cutter and not a special yorker. Siraj has that scrambled seam ball but did not bowl it much. It would have had less of an impact dew made the pitch quicker but did not see much variety from Siraj and Shami.

Amongst all the chat about the 10 match streak, it's worth noting in our league game against Aus we were 3 down for not very many and but for them dropping Kohli we would have been 4 down very early staring at defeat. As it happens Kohli and KL rescued us that day. History doesn't quite repeats but it rhymes!

Aus was favourites in 2003

In 2023 India were only favourites due to home conditions, but us mein bhi har gaye lmaoooooo

Paksitan never were favourites and never will be lol.

Another group stage exit.

Now go prepare for your whitewash in Aus where India have won last two series.

The good thing about the Pakistan cricket team is that no matter what joys their fans derive from India's failures, they soon finish it with their own crappy performances lol. :phehe:

And I don't even have to comment on the general state of the country which anyway contributes to their depression.
