He can migrate to USA like Unmukt Chand and play there.

I have seen him in county second division this season and he looked decent. Not the class that is needed to play for India but can fit perfectly for teams like US

Unmukt can't make USA XI. It's more competitive than people realize. Plus you're doing it for little to no money.

He doesn't have the work ethic that is required to succeed at this level. Gill and Abhishek camped at Yuvraj's place and learnt a thing or two about six hitting. Why can't he approach Sachin Tendulkar or anyone else and work on improving his game. After IPL competition has become insane. People play in local T20 leagues and improve their power hitting. He doesn't have personality to be a poster boy like Shubman Gill.

money can be earnt in leagues

Yes if you are a top dog in the MLC. Top players made 175k last year.

however, there is no money in MiLC. Most teams are a combination of player funded and passionate Desi business owner sponsored. Some teams pay top players but its barely (if at all) a livable wage. The tournament pays a prize money for teams making the finals weekend.

Cricket is a passion sport for expats in the US. There is no clout whatsoever.

But the gates open to play other leagues round the world unlike IPL which restricts Indian players

You gotta perform at some level to be picked for leagues. Who'll pick a player who has been discarded by Indian team and all the IPL teams?

Competition in India is way more. He can make most other leagues and franchisees will play just to grab Indian eyeballs.Heck even retired league is watched by millions in India.

But that won't happen if he stays in India.

not the best route ofcourse

Very true. However, that's an uncharted territory for American cricketers besides a few cameos here and there. No one has made a significant name in the international leagues. There is a lot of competition for any international league.

In theory, someone like Prithvi but with right zeal can open those gates and make massive earnings.

Failed project. India has so many options in Opening position.

Anyway, idk how  did he perform in last IPL?

The point is, this dude has/had potential to be top 3 of those options. Otherwise there are 10s of openers in India who have vanished and no one talks about them. There was/is something special about Shaw.

Prithvi still has enough hype to attract Indian eyeballs should he go that way. Still needs to perform but it'll be easier.

Totally agree.

However, if he has build a reputation for being bad for culture and indiscipline then he may not get many takers even overseas. I hope this to not be a case.

My hope is that he puts himself thru rigorous training and fitness. Stops all the instagram antics (at least don't post it. It's OK to have fun). Make a comeback unlike any other.

Hopefully he makes a comeback, more talented than Gill. Needs to tweak his batting position a bit, middle order spot is up for grab.

Agree. That’s how it looked when they were juniors.
