Gill is a better actor than all those nepo kids.

The way he acted as a women in Dangal is a testament of that. Can do dubbing as well as evident in the Spiderman movie.

It's the fault of selectors in not picking players with the right attitude. IPL also gave us likes of Bumrah and most of the stars of the last series win in Aus were IPL kids - Sundar, Shardul, Nattu, Siraj etc.

 

Some players want to get better and want to play for India while some are sated with riches and comfortable with IPL. It's BCCI and selectors' job to identify who's who and back the right players.

 

Currently we have has beens who haven't done anything for more than 5 years playing for India in the name of "experience". You can't win with such players in the team.

Why not select someone like Rinku instead of this overrated prince, Rinku isn't just about T20, he has played 50 first class matches with an average of 54.

 

He is 27 what are they waiting for, when would they give him a chance to prove himself when he is past 30 ? This is his prime, and we are wasting it on washed up players, and overrated players like Gill who has been given years, yet no result.

He is criminally underrated. 

 

Rinku the T20 batter has actually walloped Rinku the Test batter. People start to think of him as a white ball striker, but he is in reality much more than that.

Too much backing for Gill. Selectors are ' forced ' to beleive that Gill is the next heir and eventually come good.

 

But 30 test, 35 average is downright poor. Give 30 tests to Ruturaj, Rinku, Sai etc. and they will do similar if not better.

not fit for top 3. Maybe try him at 5-6 and bin him if he fails there.

A top order batter fails at the top.  No prob.  Try him at no. 6 or 7.   If he fails there.  No prob.  Try him at no. 9 or 10.  Some Ind fans are just like the Ind team.

Gill is a younger version of KL Rahul who is an inferior version of Rahane. He might even score a 100 this series but don’t expect 500+ run type series especially in SENA from him. He will play an odd blinder and get an extended run on tailunt. By then he would have played 70-80 tests.
