The only good thing about this FTP cycle is that ODIs have been severely reduced.

Bilateral ODIs and T20s are a torture to sit through these days.

No stakes.

No glory.

No prestige.

Nothing.

Its like watching a badly made masala movie over and over again with minor changes in dialogues, songs and climax each time lol.

But it makes monay.

So the show must go on.

our players will be completely knackered before another WC,way to go BCCI.

BCCI is the best! can't beat their pitch tampering (e.g., WC final), shortsightedness, corruption, crap selections, etc.

So we have 9 away tests: windies saf and aus and 10 home tests eng bd and nz..

we have completed 4 away and won 2

get 12 points for a win. So available points is 228. Based on last 2 WTC Cycles we need close to 60 perc to guarantee our place ie 137 points.

we have accumulated 26 ( should have been 28 but lost 2 due to over rate)

we now need 111 odd from 15 tests ie available 180 points … We have 5 at home against england 3 against nz and 2 against bd. My prediction: against England we should win 3, against nz we should win 2 and against bd we should win both. We will maybe draw 1 against nz, 1 against eng and lose 1 against eng when we prepare a bunsen burner and get rolled over by leach and rehan and root... that leaves us with 92 points.  We then will still need 20 points ie 2 wins or 1 win and 2 draws against aus away to qualify for WTC Finals again …and get beaten again which is another story altogether..

I expect spanking from aus this time. So we better lose none and win at least 9 o dd in this home run, will ensure a wtc final. Might have to draw or win 1 test in aus, which is possible. Ind have won 2 out 3 lords tests recently also drew in 2007, so i am a bit hopeful. Aussies are the masters of lords, best record there for a 100 odd years. But still things can happen with that slope. Also if we sneak a few wins down under, nz or pak can even qualify.

It will be competitive loss vs aus. This time. Law of averages. We will have to lose now.

Would lose here and win the final tbh only cause we haven't won an icc event. Otherwise series win in aus >>>>> wtc final anyday.

One off rubbish wtc final doesn't mean much in the overall context of the game but we need a damn icc title. At thus point I will take anything. Even a t20 wc which is actually a lottery
