Just check his own interview.  Where  he is claiming to be 14 year in sep 23. At that time also we don't know whether he is giving his real age.  So according his own admission in that he is almost 17 now.

 

And even his father has that baby fat on his face does not make him a 20 year old.

 

For me any sportsman who fudge his age is a fraud and at the time he was faking his age he never knew how successful he will become but one thing he would have known that he will eat someone else place.

Does not matter now. But matters a lot at district or state level.  don't make it a normal. Do you know how much effort kids put at young age.  Why a fraud should take a place of a genuine age group player.  But corruption is so normal in India that people don't take it seriously unless it hits them personally.

That makes probably 90% of players in Indian subcontinent..

also..he played u19 wcup when he was\is u19 in real..and wont play next u19..

He was not 12 at that time also.  And if was so confident of his game why to fake his age. Just check his 3 year old game on youtube you will clearly understand that he was atleast 14 at that time

He is not 15 let him be 20. Doesnt change the fact that he is the most exciting batsman to come out of India in a while. I always thought Gill will take over from Kohli as our no 1 batter but looks like it might be Vaibhav. This debate on his age should be left for Pakistani.

the age fudding happen in general in many places..no just for cricket but also for govt jobs..army recruitments etc..I dont think he got any advantages of fake age..if you think its highly likely he has been playing with fake age..then its also highly likely..others who were playing with him were also having fake age..

when Surya busrst onto the scene with his pyrotechniques in T20..we were glad..that we found a batter who brought such high SR batting in the game..not only for india but even in world..and he was number 1 for some time..and guess what he was 30 on debut..so yes..I dont care with Sooryavanshi is 15-20-25 whatever..get me any batter who can play like that..then we can talk..

Indian public/ fans are the biggest burden for any player.  Indian public mindset is like A sportsperson is either a superhero or a complete zero.  There is no middle ground for them.  First they hype the person so much and once the person does not perform according to their unreasonable expectations they make them villain pretty soon.  

 

Hope Suryavanshi does not have to face this.  While i do believe he has technical deficiencies and very one sided game, he will also have to work hard on his fitness, but people should give him his space to improve and become a dependable player for India.  His superhero performance should not be used to let him down in future if he does not live up to unreasonable expectations.  He has achieved all this because of his own hard work and he can achieve much more.
