Does avg of 33 after 50 tests scream consistent performance.His pet kept failing in every important t20 match yet he kept opening.

 

Everyone  including KLR knew he would flop in semi final , yet he was made to opener.

KL has been playing since Shastri/Kohli days. He's a regular now. Dravid/Rohit haven't done anything new by backing him.

When was he sneaked back in the team as a WK batsman to make a place for him under Shastri-Kohli ?

He had 9-10 consecutive very poor innings in BD and BGT. Dropped from WI tour then sneaked back in as a WK bat in SA.

So we are passing judgement on player who batted twice in test cricket but we keep playing a guy like Bharat or bozo like Rahul whose avg is 33 after 50 tests.

 

Kishen can have 1000 weaknesses but he is still better than Bharat. He is leftie and can break up RHB .

He has scored 200 in Odis and 50 in three innings. Who cares about weakness. I could understand if KL was made to keep and a new batsman was given a chance.
