Unless he is dropped because he is branded as a bits and pieces cricketer because he can bowl a bit.  (  Happened with Washington in the past after his exploits with the bat in tests in 2021  ).  There are many "geniuses" in the system to apply such stupid logic.

He should be treated as a Ganguly type cricketer for the time being.

 

A batsman who can bowl some medium pace, be the 6th bowler and become handy as a bowler in swinging conditions.

he is pretty much just that - a ganguly type player. if his bowling improves a bit, he can reach sanjay bangar level with the ball.

These days in India, you'd rather be a specialist batter and score 20 rather than an all rounder who scores 50 as you'll be called bits and pieces no matter what and will be dropped for another specialist bat in the very next series/game..Axar faced the same thing.
