These days in India, you'd rather be a specialist batter and score 20 rather than an all rounder who scores 50 as you'll be called bits and pieces no matter what and will be dropped for another specialist bat in the very next series/game..Axar faced the same thing.

 

There are some dumbasses here on this forum that think along the same lines what say @putrevus

 

Axar is out of favour ever since he has started batting like a proper batsman. 

 

We are obsessed with classifications / tags / status of players instead of looking at performances.

yes Ashwin suffered from this, when even his batting was better than our specialist betters

I don't think it was better - Ash was always boom-or-bust batter, and in 2nd half of career, it became more bust than boom... to the extent where Sydney 2020/21 felt like a return to the old Ashwin.

 

Axar, on the other hand, could easily play as a batting AR in SC.

Yeah !  Should be kept away from all the advice that our superstar No.4 will impart and make him confused as a result.

 

At No.6, superstar super kool will be gone in most cases. 

 

After BGT 20-21, Gill used to sit with the Super Kool a lot and became like his 2020s version and not the 2010s good one.

King Klown and Fatman should be kept far away from promising players. They should be allowed to only interact with equally feckless players like Gill, DSP, etc. Even Pant is clearly hanging out too much with this duo and absorbing senioritis.

career advice to reddy - rebrand yourself as a top order batsman henceforth. ditch the bowling completely (for now). very hard to become a fixture never mind a superstar as a bowler for india. also avoid the emotional incontinence from fans every time your bowling doesn't work. i'm looking at you @Frustrated

If N Reddy becomes a specialist batter, he will contribute more meaningfully than what Chokli & Vadapav hv achieved in 15 yrs of intl career.    If he remains a Pace bowling AR, he will always find a way to pick up 1 or 2 wickets in every inning in SENA.  His bowling style is suited for SENA (as a 4th bowling option).  Trust me.  He won't disappoint us (as a 4th bowler).

He kept getting injured tbh. Only recently he has managed to remain fit.

he was fit from 2023 onward, but wasn't chosen.

He missed IPL 2023 due to injury. Was chosen as a replacement in Asia Cup. Obviously wasn't in plans for WC. Missed Eng test series I guess

yes, should have played several Test series in 2023-24.
