Don't really like this touching the feet part. This is the reason for all this star culture and putting cricketers on a pedestal. Don't know why we do this with our movie stars, cricketers and politicians.

it is more of paying respect to an esteemed elder. it is done even in families - has nothing to do with whether one is celeb or not.

Naah man, this is cringe as phuck. I can understand honoring your elderly family members like that (say grand parents), or teachers/mentors who changed your life in a profound way. But doing so with cricketers, movie stars or politicians is a bit too much.

As a society we have to stop putting celebrities on a pedestal. You can be respectful without treating them as demi gods. This is what star culture looks like.

if he did it genuinely, and not because of some ulterior motive, I think it's fine. diff cultures exist across the world, and even manifold cultures within india - this is our strength. since it seems to have come from bottom of the heart, I think we should appreciate it.

I agree there are others who do it for showboating, but reddy sr doesn't seem like one.

Ya for humble man like him whom nobody noticed in his socitey (no disrespect)suddenly one of these greatest of the game came to meet would be a shocking pleasure and proud moment. It shows how humble that man is ,not acting like some buffoon cricket parents and relate to majority of Indian parents . No matter how much i dislike gavskar as commentator but even if he comes in front of me i will be humbled as the man has achieved so much for India. Cant say the same about choke master.
