HIs kind of bowling is likely to be useful in England, NZ, may be SA. Australian wickets hard wickets where you need a bit of ooomph in your bowling

He'll come in handy at Perth where the plan is to have greenish pitch, Gabba where we have seam movement as even Shardul Thakur picked up 7 wkts last time, and there6'll be a pink ball Test at Adelaide where ball does something under the lights. So 3 out of 5 Tests will have help for seam bowlers and Nitish should play those.

Sydney and MCG are the ones where we may decide to make a change but even in MCG I would rather go with Nitish.

MCG is a green seamer these days... Nitish will come handy.

Likes of Marsh have done handy damage in Perth and MCG too off late.

His selection for further games should be based on how well he does in Perth.

He has to contribute with bat & be tight with the ball and offer rest to other quicks.

Yup, we need a pace all-rounder for every match in Aus, and also for any SENA venue these days.

The unfortunate trade-off is that this might come at the expense of Akash Deep :-(

We need 3 main pacers + Nitish. Bumrah, Harshit and one of Akash Deep or Siraj should be the others. The choice shouldn't be between Nitish and a main bowler. It should be between one of the spin all-rounders (Jadeja, Sundar) and Nitish. One of the spin all-rounders will play as the spin option and Nitish should come in place of the second one.

Which pace attack looks potentially best

A

Bumrah

Siraj

Prasiddh

Nitish

B

Bumrah

Prasidh

Harshit

Akashdeep

C

Bumrah

Harshit

Akashdeep

Nitish

Ideally, B

But it was weakest tail in theory.

Prasidh has shown some batting ability in recent days, but how will he fare against Cummins, Hazelwood & Starc remains to be seen.

Nitish is at best going to be 5th bowler and if he impresses with batting 6th bowler because we will also play a frontline spinner.

He is a good trundler for that role. Good red ball bowler. I think as a bowler he is at Bhuvi level when Bhuvi started. Will he improve to get to at least Bhuvi level which itself is a good achievement needs to been seen.

He's bit quicker but yeah type is like Bhuvi which suits more SEN than Aus unless a greentop. His main job is to contribute with bat.

Have high hopes but its also tough to debut straight in Aus.
