His best days are behind him, maybe he can get 200 test wkt,not many ind pacers have got there .

he can play 6 to 7 tests a year for the next 6 years. not thathard.

36 tests should be doable. he will be fine.

Kapil, Srinath, Zak, Ishant & Shami has gotten there.

3 out of 5 has played in the "modern" era. Which means our fast bowling is on the rise in comparison to pre 00's.

Bumrah will end up somewhere between 280-300 if he gives up one format.

Shami too will end up around 275.

Zak played 92 tests and hence crossed 300 mark. Bumrah & Shami can cross it in even less games if they manage their workload better as they both are fitter than Zak.

Thing people don't r3alise is that it will only get better for Indian bowlers. Progressively we just keep getting better.

Bumrah is just one. There will be plenty more. Just pick them

Bumrah will finish with 70 tests and 320 wickets. That's my prediction.

Cummins will play about 90 95 tests

Rabada the same.

Yup, and pick them early if we want them to get to 300-400 wickets.

No pacer debuting at age of 28-29 will end up at those numbers. At max they will stretch to 200 considering no injuries.

Akashdeep after bowling well for 2 games is out of contention. Didn't play IPL...already touching 28 and may even be forgotten if Shami comes back to full fitness.

Milestones don't matter, Australians don't have records for max runs, wickets or centuries. But boy they know how to win trophies.

Mike Hussey couldn't cross 10k run mark in Tests, but he was an amazing batsman for the time he served them.

Am I wrong in saying that,200 is a big deal for our pacers.

Replace our with Asian.

Pak has only 3, SL has only one. India has 5.

Pak who considers themselves as "phast bowling powerhouse" are unable to get bowlers who can clock 200+ test wickets post the era of ball tempering, match fixing, bribed umpires and illegal bowling action.

Alright, Asian.

Its just that sena has better steroids so some last longer. All rugby playing countries take steroids and peds. This translates to cricket as well.

Hence we see more sena bowlers hit 200 plus.

But even there it's questionable. Big 3 for aus don't play much loi.  They preserve themselves.

Broad and Andy only play tests

SA doesn't have anyone since steyn and Philly

Well rabada and he sucks in loi too and barely plays loi.

Nz is a lost cause and they have trundlers like southee etc. Boult yes but now he quit tests. Wagner only played tests.

How do know we aren't doing it as well.

Rugby guys are strong, they can easily flatten a cricket team singlehandedly. We are horrible at rugby.

Cause we aren't? Does rohit looks like he takes peds

We don't have access to advanced drugs like western countries. We are too poor for that.

Also, SENA pitches are pace friendly. Hence you see more fast bowlers getting wickets.

For Asian countries, most of their pitches are spin friendly. Hence the spinners pick truckload of wickets and take 300-400-500 wickets for fun.

While pacers, they hardly take 1-2 wickets in Tests that too in first inns. So if a fast bowler who plays almost 30-40% (or more) tests in home country, his stats will get dented due to non supportive pitches.

Dude we don't take it. Period. We follow the rules. By the book. Our players don't take it whatsoever.

Bcci can utilise steroids for their players but they won't.

Other boards can. They have access to it via rugby as lot of the strength and conditioning coaches for sena countries come from rugby backgrounds. Steroids is rampant in rugby.

Will u apply this logic to us losing to aus in wtc final too? Cause we missed 2/3 of our main players

Whom did we missed vs Australia in WTC Final?

You have to start early when you are young, not after you join the indian team. Other country has better nutrition and supplements from grass root levels.

Pant has been our best test batsman by a long way in past few years, particularly overseas. Bumrah our main bowler was missing too
