I look at this way, BCCI has enough funds to give players, they are not getting  bankrupt by paying these players.

Demoting Pant is bigger issue for me than giving Pandya grade A contract.Pant deserves to be Grade A contract.

Yes Pant should be supported, but con man like Pandya should be punished for taking bacci for a hike since so long.

How come he magically gets fit during ipl, he played last ipl after long injury break, than again went on injury break during wc and now again fit to play ipl. On what basis he is in any contract.

That is a valid point. We should blame the bozo who decided that this guy was good enough to be captain of India in whiteball cricket.

Pandya and KL Rahul becoming captains of India are biggest disgrace.

why Pant though? I am not sure he will ever play for india again but he has a contract?.BCCI is paying him for terrible driving now?

Why not ? It shows that the board is supporting their players through a recovery period which can happen to any sportsman. There is no reason to write off a proven 24 year old talent after an accident. Many sportsmen have come back strong after serious injury and all they are doing is showing some faith in him and backing a youngster. That's their job and it's not as if it's costing them a lot of money considering their resources

Listen Iyer and Kishan have made the right choice for themselves. Their test career is for all practical purposes over. The LOI career is also mostly over.

What can revive their career is a monster IPL season. What can give them their bread and butter is IPL.

No point wasting effort and risking injury on a mickey mouse tourney like the Ranji Trophy. Ranji himself would have done what Iyer and Kishan did if he was in same boat.

Doesn't bcci clear a player before they can play in ipl. Rayudu if I am not wrong had problem playing in ipl after he had participated in the league started by zee.

The NCA medical team reportedly has not found anything worrisome in Rahul's quad after conducting multiple scans and tests but because the right-hander is still complaining of pain and discomfort, they have decided to send him to London, where the specialist who operated on the cricketer can have a closer look at the problem.

The medical team thought Rahul was good to go for the last three Tests. But he complained of discomfort. He is a bit concerned about it. He has endured a heavy workload while keeping wickets in the World Cup and the Test series in South Africa. Multiple scans have been done on his quads. While there is nothing very concerning, some inflammation has been noted. The reports were sent to the doctor who treated him in England. Eventually, the doctor asked him to travel to England so that he could personally check what’s wrong with Rahul,” a source added.

Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan are not part of the new list of centrally contracted players revealed by the BCCI on February 28. KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Mohammed Siraj have been promoted to Grade A, while Rishabh Pant, recovering from a road accident, is now in Grade B.

The BCCI, in a media release, mentioned that Iyer and Kishan were not included in this round of contract recommendations. The board emphasized the significance of players participating in domestic cricket during periods when they are not representing the national team.

Hardik Lodu Chapri Pandya needs to be kicked out from the central contract and Fraudeja needs to be demoted to Grade C. Talwarbaaz is only fit to play Tests at Home.Period.He is not a white ball player. Why is he getting 7 crores alongwith IPL ka kaala dhan and this chhapri should only get the IPL fees. That's it. If he plays for any odi's,give him match fees.No central Contract for frauds like this chhapri.

I understand Kishan was given even warnings. But with respect to Iyer they could have given one more warning instead of taking away his contract. He played in the world cup. Scored over 500 runs. Was Aavailable for SA tests/England tests. He was dropped for form. Fair enough. But he didn't take a break from international like Kishan did. He probably didn't complain about not being given fair chance in other formats. They could have been a touch lenient. I think there is more to story than him missing one Ranji match. We may never know.

As per cricinfo "ESPNcricinfo has learnt that the selectors, who make the recommendations for contracts, were not pleased that Kishan used this time away from the game to train with his IPL captain Hardik Pandya in Baroda, and that Iyer was at Kolkata Knight Riders' pre-season camp when missing the match for Mumbai. Iyer has since made himself available for Mumbai's semi-final match in the Ranji Trophy."

Its about setting a precedent- if he is faking an injury to miss important Ranji matches and is found at a pre season camp for his IPL side, he is clearly flouting the bCCI directive that all non injured centrally contracted players should be playing domestic tournaments when not playing for India. He is not a kid- he is a IPL captain, he rightly needs this disciplining

Ya pretty unfair to Iyer. Like always Bandya and other seniors are kept out of scrutiny.

Why couldn't they make an example out of Pandya?

Some is very wrong there, Pant who has already done so much for team India  gets demoted but Pandya keeps grade A contract.

I don't mind Pandya getting contract but it is disgace that they demoted this guy.
