Both should play.

Let Jurel keep as it is better not to tax Pant too much this year.

Pant is good enough to play as a specialist batsman especially in tests.

definitely a possibility.he needs some form in domestic cricket before the aussie tests.

We would have won wtc final and wc final I feel if rishab played.

Perhaps wtc final more likely

For odi wcup..I hvnt checked any stats but I feel the slow pitch and cutters could hv affected him too ofc his agression may have changed everything but I wud still say 50-50 for odi wcup

stamina needs to be assessed, especially for tests. and power for ODIs and T20s.

early signs are good so far

He will be fine. Matter of time. Medical field is far advanced now

Just hope bro the selectors don't push for T20 WC, let him take slow.

He was our biggest matchwinner in Tests, selectors should prioritise that for him playing T20Is and ODI's sporadically.

Jaiswal, Pant & Jurel in Tests is going to be a formidable batting lineup.

He was never a natural T20 batsman. More fit for tests and ODIs as he needs some time to get going. But would be great if he can make a comeback to test team. His fitness looks good, didnt think he would recover so quickly but glad he did.

What sets Pant apart from others is his temperament and clutch ability and match winning ability. These qualities cant be taught and rare among sportsmen and should be valued more than just numbers.

Pant has lost his hitting capability. If you see his stats then Pant from 2017 to 2019 in IPL was a different beast, SR was insanely high.

He has slowed down from 2020 onwards.

Captaincy to any Indian makes him drool over Dhoni and play and act like him

When Dhoni himself was way overrated in t20s and Odis too

Basic instincts get curbed

Life threatening injury plus no cricket at all since 2022 and straight into the ipl circus as captain of an underperforming franchise...seems to be an unrealistic load for a 26 year old to carry. He is playing much better than expected all things considered but perhaps they should take some pressure off and play him purely as a keeper/batter.

I would give him some time. But I still feel he should opener to get best out of him.

I think he is batting and keeping better than I expected given he could barely walk this time last year.  He is struggling to get the power into his big shots but that has to be put into perspective given the only cricket of any sort  he has had since he got injured is the 2 games in this IPL.

He looks well on track to play in the Australia test series which should be his main target now.
