Texan Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 Kudos to RCB fans on a deserving win! Your wait was longer than India's wait in the last decade, so can't even put words into how it might be feeling for you guys. With so much focus on Kohli, one guy who has gone under the radar has been Patidar. Appointed captain this season, and he wins the cup for the team! Wow! RCB needed a cool head like his to guide them to victory. Also, don't forget that he contributed very well in the early stages of the tournament with the bat as well. Kohli, finally one in the bag! CoverDrive Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 Happy to see my team finally winning. As 40 something IPL has never meant that much compare to internationals apart from some opportunity to see some young talent and fun contests. Of course RCB was one team I have always supported being from the city but my kids have grown up here so it means lot more to them. I wrote somewhere else that in IPL there is no choking you keep making the playoffs and you will get your chance. In a decade all of the teams would have won once. There will be exceptions but in this format with salary caps most teams have got basics right and with right players in form you can go all the way. RCB has to built on this and work on the holes. They got lucky this year with Kaunas Pandya, Suyash sharma punching above their weight. Need international level spinners. Bhuvi is also not long term support. They did well in filling in bit parts with likes of shepherd, Tim David, etc. Kohli may have couple of more years. He looked poor out there but he had the right idea. In big matches idea is to not get blown out at 140 looking for 250. He was playing like in the T20 finals and others were not able to kick in a very big way but the lower order was not exposed early. Also he is lot more limited now and he knows his strengths and that’s how he plays now. Ind2015 1

vvvslaxman Posted June 4, 2025 Author Posted June 4, 2025 There is a comment about someone who started watching at 12 now he is married at 30 lol what a joy it must be for him.
JazzyB Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 RIP to the 15 or so dead and countless injuries this was so needless and RCB needs to be held accountable along with others what was the need 1) to have a parade at all and 2) why have it immediately without waitinh for things ti temper down and kohli and rcb have blood in their hands. kohli said yesterday "imagine the scenes in Bengaluru" in his post match and we have seen now tragic and unnecessary
