given our trundler fetish, we should have played Ashish "Winston Churchill" Zaidi more often. he was quicker than prasad, and more effective too IMO. probably the type of bowler who operated in low-mid 130s mostly, but had some tactical nous.

 

kuruvilla in his early career was also in this range, and got some bounce because of his height.

 

atul wassan was also someone who could have been an asset in some conditions: very useful lower order bat too

not a good list to be honest. I saw/heard about most of them. Likes of Valson, Govindraj, Ismail, Gattani were not quick bowlers. they were fast-medium, and some were medium-fast.

Pawan Suyal was talented, but read somewhere that he had drinking problems. 

 

Rahul Shukla was weird case, he had everything going for him. But out of nowhere he vanished from cricketing arena.

 

Aniket, Pankaj & Rituraj Singh were 3 pillars of Rajasthan fast bowling. Good at domestic level, just weren't adequate for international.

he was reasonably rapid (probably mid-130s on avg, which was good for that time), but very erratic. moreover, he tended to do better against weaker teams (IIRC, he bullied andhra in a match, who were weak then) and did not perform as well vs stronger teams. Not int'l class IMO.

 

yes, he retired young. I dunno whether it was politics alone (his bro shivlal, after all, had a long career) or if injuries and loss of form also played some part

that seems like a correct assessment. I do not think he is 6'2 or 6'3 as some claim. being 6-foot is enough for most pitches and countries when allied to pace and high-arm action.

Umran has everything to challenge 160 kmph mark, lets see if Mayank can go over 155 kmph often.

Mark wood bowls high % of ball in 150 kmph,do not think he has crossed 155 kmph yet.
