And I was awestruck by the carry he was getting. The ball was thuding into the keeper's gloves chest high as he slanted the ball across the batters. given our trundler fetish, we should have played Ashish "Winston Churchill" Zaidi more often. he was quicker than prasad, and more effective too IMO. probably the type of bowler who operated in low-mid 130s mostly, but had some tactical nous. kuruvilla in his early career was also in this range, and got some bounce because of his height. atul wassan was also someone who could have been an asset in some conditions: very useful lower order bat too Link to comment

I saw/heard about most of them. Likes of Valson, Govindraj, Ismail, Gattani were not quick bowlers. they were fast-medium, and some were medium-fast. Link to comment

Heard that he retired at age of 27 itself coz he was so fed up of politics in Hyderabad Cricket. Link to comment

Rahul Shukla was weird case, he had everything going for him. But out of nowhere he vanished from cricketing arena. Aniket, Pankaj & Rituraj Singh were 3 pillars of Rajasthan fast bowling. Good at domestic level, just weren't adequate for international. Link to comment

Not int'l class IMO. yes, he retired young. I dunno whether it was politics alone (his bro shivlal, after all, had a long career) or if injuries and loss of form also played some part Link to comment

I think IPl franchise should give chance to Indian young quicks like Tyagi, Umran, Shakib, Sen and any other if i missed. Its so boring to watch Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Sharma, Bhuvis , Unadkat, This will lightup the IPL..we need all these pacers..Mayank,Harshit,Sen,Tyagi,Umran,Shakib etc…along with foreign pacers like Alzarri and co the IPL will be fiery.. Mark wood bowls high % of ball in 150 kmph,do not think he has crossed 155 kmph yet. Edited April 1 by tapandrun Link to comment
