Experience doesn't matter in T20s. In fact if there's a format where youngsters should be preferred over experience, it's T20. Most of the players have played enough T20s in IPL, and have Pandya, SKY, and others to fall back on for "experience". If we don't try youngsters against B'desh at home, when will we do that?

Also, if we could give someone like Avesh such a long rope, why not give Harshit, who has a much higher ceiling, the same opportunity?

Experience matters a lot in T20. T20 cricket is not for rookies. It's for experienced players.

Can you find out what is the source ?

We can directly check that site then.

I don't know the source. He didn't provide any. Maybe some analytics guy  directly posting on the site.

Here's his Reddit profile if you are interested. He made some charts on the ongoing England vs Pakistan match as well.

If experience mattered that much we wouldn't have waited for more than a decade for a title. And wouldn't have won the WT20 in 2007 beating much more experienced sides like Aus, Eng, SA, Pak etc. Whenever we've played youngsters, we've looked like million dollars only for "experience" to walk  into the team just before an ICC tourney.

No thanks, enough of experience. I would take performers over experience any day.

Let us see - I think they will reduce his speed furthur.

Indian authorities are comfortable with bowlers bowling 135-145 kmph.

Anything above that is cause for concern.

Of course anything over 150 is cause for panic. Let us see if he regains his old mojo. Last six balls yesterday even number 11 Mushtafizur was handling with ease.

I think he won't cut it, if he cuts it even further he will no longer be the same Mayank Yadav which we all are talking about.

Ofcourse, not every bowler will clock 150-155k consistently. After injuries its natural that a bowler may take things slow before coming in the zone.

At this moment Mayank is probably worried about his injury and not to spray the ball. Once he gains more confidence he will up his pace.

Indian Cricket needs young pacers at this moment, all our A tier bowlers are above 30 and some are nearing 35. BCCI will be forced now to invest on young quicks if they will remain injury free at a decent amount of time.

They will do what they always do - Invest in spinners and Bhuvaneshwar kind of bowlers.

2007 wasn't completely an inexperienced team. It was a mix. There is a difference between young and inexperience.

He isn't express. He is Shami at his peak speed kind of pacer.

Abey he already has the highest number of 155 kph deliveries in IPL and he has bowled just 48 deliveries with full fitness and ipl has seen express pacers like actor, Lee, Tait, wood, lockie, nortje bowl superfast spells. Six of the fastest bowlers since the speed guns have been used in cricket.

So Bumrah, Shami aren't successful?

i might be wrong but i don't recall a monster thread before they were finally picked in the test side. the hype started after they started taking international wickets in tests
