He hit `150 in a Test match. In T20 he might have touched 155 around that time

No. I have watched him since his bbl debut. He was not 155 kph.  Though he was only 17-18 according to official age so I had thought in few years he might bowl 155-160 but due to injuries he couldn't progress to that level.

He has "touched" 155 kph at least once.

Think fastest Cummins ever bowled was around 152 kmph, he was 19 or something so it was thought that he will gain some more speed as he progresses.

Think in the same video or other video they claimed Tait was  even faster before making it to Aus team, so will take those cummins being 155 kmph  bowler and tait even faster than what he bowled in Intnl with pinch of salt.

I've seen articles claiming that Irfan is one of the top four "fastest bowler" India has produced!! Just how stupid those writers could get?

One sample article! There are more sh!ts like this online

https://www.vision11.in/blog/2024/08/22/fastest-bowlers-in-india-fastest-balls-delivered-by-indian-bowlers/

Even that 154.5k of Srinath was actually bowled by Akthar in the 99 world cup(fastest of that tourney) for which these morons are taking credits for Srinath!

Like how Srinath bowled @157 against Zimbabwe in 97? Perhaps Irfan's 153.7?:phehe:

It only started when Ishant sharma bowled some 150 kmph balls in Aus , before that there was no mention of Srinath bowling at 157 kmph.

Not saying he was not fast just were the speeds really recorded some where ??

Speedgun error. I don't even have to take a look at that clip brother. How on earth a bowler who has always been 130ish(mid 120s at some points) bowls just one delivery at 153.7? What's fastest ball if u remove that one odd delivery? Should be somewhere around 145-147 at his max effort. Some of us Indians are so desperate to make claims that Irfan Pathan is a 150+ bowler!

Sami bowling 164 kmph ,though afterwards they called it technical glitch. Sami was bitter about this for some time.He bowled 2 balls above 161 kmph in same over

It's officially announced that it's a glitch since it'd have been a world record otherwise. Having said that it's not officials' responsibility to give clarifications for every other wrong reading by the speedometer! Like Irfan's 153.7 or Vinay's 150

It's said the match wasn't covered. Yeah Srinath was surely quick in his prime. But by no means be bowled 157 lol. He was more of a 130+ bowler in his later stages.

India finally got bowlers who are actually breaching the 150+ marks. Celebrate them if you want to celebrate bowlers for their capability to bowl at higher pace. Why make stupid claims like Irfan's 153.7 and Srinath's 157?

Are Bumrah and Shami joke to these guys? Both breached the 150 mark in every spell and even every over at times during their prime!
