Answering the question for the fans, the BCCI revealed that Mayank was not selected for the South Africa tour due to ongoing injury issues. The same reason was given for the likes of Shivam Dube and Riyan Parag as well.

Disappointing. This October has been cursed for Team India. Wanted to see Mayank and Harshit. All we got was a sub-par Mayank who's injured once more and no sighting of Harshit.

 

Plus the seniors always show up for intl matches to phuck us. Wish we could exchange availability of seniors with Mayank and Harshit

Does Mayank really need to pushed ahead .He has ability to bowl fast ,has good control, but in his short career he has been injury prone.

In last 6 month ,he hardly has bowled 20 overs and he is injured again.

There'll come a point when everyone's patience will run out. His talent and ability to bowl fast has given him a long rope but at some point it'll run out. Best thing BCCI can do so is let experts handle Mayank and send him abroad for rehabilitation and play him when he's fully recovered - be it 6 months or 1 year. Coming back from injury, playing a couple of T20s and getting injured again isn't helping anyone.

Finally some info on Mayank Yadav's injury..

It's recurrence of same abdominal muscle issue..Lets hope his mucles get mature in 1-2 years..per this video..NCA\medical staff should do a better job too..

Get him to qualified sports medicine folks and physiotherapists who deal with these injuries. Quacks at NCA will finish his career. Lot of Tennis players face similar injuries and I would look at physicians who work with them. Or even folks who help baseball pitchers through these injuries.

 

NCA quacks are only good at doing tel maalish with iodex or moov.

this is a very natural response..why the NCA staff and medicos..are not able to figure out and formulate a plan about it yet..it baffles me..

Tbh...we need to accept that fast bowlers will get injured. As long as it's not a stress fracture, we shouldn't lose patience.

It's easier to get bowlers who will bowl at 125-130k and gently let the ball kiss the surface...finding a 140-150k bowler is tougher and its like riding a high speed car which will obviously require high maintenance.

 

No matter what the dihati commentators vomit against the pacers, we should appreciate and support them as long as they're ready to put work on their body.
