Currently in French Canadian country- Quebec for the July 4th weekend. Quebec is very beautiful than most of NA. Old cities resemble European cities. It has more history than USA. But everything is like USA, people here talk in English as well. Montréal:

Went to Hamburg and Berlin for a couple of weeks. Lovely places. Fantastic walking! The weather was sublime as well.

 

The Germans are cold as ice though. Couldn't live there with them for sure! Most unfriendly ppl I have seen. 

 

Very impressed with the public transportation there though. Almost completely trust based - didn't get asked to show my ticket even once during my entire stay there. Did total paisa vasool going on the buses, ferries and metros.

Back home after a 1 month trip in Bali, Indonesia.

 

Highly recommend Bali.

That's not me paragliding. But I did paraglide in that area.

The most thrilling dare-devil things I have done:

1. Para-sailing

2. Under-water walk with a preseeure helmet (similar to what Modi did in Dwarka)

3. Jumping into a water hole in jamaica from 10-feet

4. 200-feet free fall

5. Jet-skiing in deep-sea (facking waves are a killer)

6. Swimming in Atlantic ocean without life-jackets - snorkling 

 

I will never ever do anything of these again. I cannot think of skydiving after the experience with free-fall.

Braver than me on all counts.

 

I have done aerial activities - skydiving (solo jumps without being tethered to an instructor), paragliding, bungy jumping (multiple times), canyon swings (multiple times), abseiling etc

 

But water activities are a no - no for me.

I have fear of heights. Can’t jump, dive or go on free-fall or roller coasters. Water sports is ok. But swimming in a pool is so much different from swimming in the ocean, the volume of water and the current can drown even expert swimmers. I just got lucky.

Visited Ibiza and Formentera. Place is filthy Rich and Beautifull (specially Formentera beaches).  Place has nice connection to India. Hippy Culture , clothing  and other bits . All have in your face indian style. Loved it.

 

Old town of Ibiza is like a movie set. Entry made me feel like "Shrek when he entered the Kingdom Far Far Away". You feel like you live in a Swamp. This is how a habitable place should be

Did what most desis do as a pilgrimage. After a long time, went on a cruise with a dozen other Desi families. Nice break, with some activity as well. Lotsa of booze esp during New Year’s Eve party in the ship.
