Plus if they had to let go of one, it should've been Shashank. Shashank is 33 or 34 years old and not that clean a hitter as Ashutosh. Punjab owns this failure and RTM is a poor excuse for this fiasco.

Also, Last year we all were discussing that out of Shashank and Ashutosh..Ashutosh has better potential to play for India as well..as he is relatively young..26 years(officially :D)

The Stoinis knock against CSK last year was an amazing fightback, but this being from an uncapped player shows the promise that Indian cricketers possess. As this has come in starting matches, it augurs well for IPL 18.

He can continue in IPL like Dhoni as long as he retires from intl cricket.If he wants he can play long enough that he gets a chance to play as "uncapped" player just like Dhoni
