Boult to Rathi, OUT

A sensational way to end the innings and this is MI's fifth straight win this year.

This is also the 150th victory for MI in the IPL, the first time for any team in the league. And it's fitting Boult gets that final wicket. Angles the on-pace length ball on middle and leg. Rathi misses and his stumps are rattled.

This 150th win should have come like 2 seasons ago. Very very late.

Number of wins don't matter, it's the number of tourney wins which count :agree:

Just look at RCB :giggle: You would rather have losing and poor seasons but win cups when you're good than be consistent throughout but never win anything.

The winning aura seems to be coming back. Hope to see Mumbai in the playoffs.

3 more wins on the trot after this. Other teams must have gone from mildly concerned to reasonably worried about MI peaking towards the business end of the tournament!

For RCB, it is one man who comes between them and the trophy. Imagine that this team at one point had Gayle and ABDV, two of the best ever T20 batters and still could not win squat because Mr Selfish decided he wanted to open and play "sheet anchor" role. He just could not allow Gayle and ABDV to hog the limelight.

Tournies trump everything. You don't want to be Kohli's RCB or Kohli's Team India where he made India a laughing stock and joke of world cricket by leading us to a lost decade without any trophy.

Goals for an IPl franchise should be to win one tourney every 3-4 years. Nobody remembers the matches and how many you won or lost. People remember tourneys and Cups. MI and CSK has 5 cups and RCB has 0. That's what matters.

Obviously I should have explained myself better.

Our last title was at 2020, It was our 5th. At that time the next best was csk(3). We then had 2 horrible seasons. 2022 and 2024. And a decent one in 2023.

We should have won a lot of games in those three seasons and should have added one more trophy (our 6th) and going for our 7th now. What i'm trying to say is we lost a lot of regular season games and therefore we weren't able to compete well in those 3 seasons.

RCB really??. They are not even in the same continent as us!!

Hate to be the one to break it to you; tourney wins are not possible without winning games.

Just in case you didn't work that out yet.

RCB is no where a comparable to mighty :mi:

RCB total wins are 127.

47.7% win ratio.

Mighty :mi: total wins are 150. 54.6% win ratio.

But nobody cares about 47%, 54% or any other win %ge. All that matter is no. of IPL wins. RCB - 0, MI - 5. That's what it all boils down to. Even if there're failed seasons in between, it doesn't matter as long as you make the best of the seasons when you're dominating.

They have a habit of starting on low. Was surprised, the squad can do better. After GT, they have got the best team on paper. When when any of their key players is injured, they have got no backups.

Forget being slow the site didn't open at all yesterday and today.

Almost all posts are from yesterday.:((

Yeah our 6th win on the trot and the match thread is 2 pages long.

Even Zimbabwe vs BD has more traction than this

ICF saazish against :mi:

Is 6 wins on the trot an IPL record?
