Nothing wrong with Punjabi food, but there are probably many more Punjabi restaurants than ones like this that can serve a good sagu.

We hardly have pure authentic South Indian restaurants here. This one was good for South Indian dishes and thali. Adu illa ivaga. North Indian tindu tindu saakagide! Chaos and BacktoCricaddict 1 1

I mean - think about the difference between an hitkid avarekaaLu saaru and a regular sambar. They are as far apart as a sambar and a dal makhani. Yet, they are both "South Indian." I wish there were really good Karnataka-food restaurants - Bisi bele bhaat, hesarkalu palya with bassaaru, nuchnunde, ragi mudde, jolad roti, palaav, etc etc ... not to mention all the non-veg dishes. There's enough for a whole restaurant menu and more. Edited July 17, 2024 by BacktoCricaddict

Eating Idli-sambar made by a Gujju cook in a Udupi restaurant owned by a Punjabi is not what I will pay good money for. Swagath was the last one. There is no called Mini Idli Bites, charges $15 for a Dosa. WTF!

ravishingravi Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 The more time one spends the more you realise that it's impossible to compete with this land on food. Just mind boggling variety. The only flipside I see is that local cuisine are dying and this is matter of concern. Another concern is health but gen z seems more conscious about it. BacktoCricaddict and Mariyam 1 1
