Goenka is a kid at the heart. Goenka has created an IPL team as his live video game.

Even regular folks get frustrated when things don’t go right in a video game, so it is understandable that Goenka loses his cool now and then when things falter in his live multi-million dollar game that he is playing. If he could, he would have even appointed himself as the captain.

If he is being happy at KL’s wkt, you can imagine his level of frustration and maybe he is found a new way to make himself happy when playing this live video game. He has found a silver lining!

Good turnaround from the dumps he was in last year IPL. Seems pretty happy to score in his home ground

Tweet from IPL! Good PR for him

He wanted to play for RCB. So showing you made a mistake by not picking me :hatsoff:

Agreed, but I wish this kind of "khunnas" comes more consistently for someone with his abilities. Why wait to be dissed before you show up? He is being paid to perform consistently throughout the tourney, not just when his emotions are high and he is focused.

Perhaps that is the difference between the good ones and great ones.

Form is temporary, all of such antics are when they are successful. It means he has a sixth gear he can operate on and chooses not to, based on some temperament or form. Even for India, he always performs when his place is in danger.  But, when he gets it, it’s amazing to watch. Today , he matched Sky 360 in shots

Everyone performs better when motivated. Tough to motivate yourself everyday. In the end of the day its a job like our jobs

No it’s not. When someone becomes an artist or a sportsman it is due to 2 things- natural talent which most don’t have and the passion to excel in that. Career and Job are 2 different things. If my salary gets cut even by 1% I will move on, a cricketer will play even for less money just for the passion. Yes people can get burned out. That’s a different thing.

With so much year around cricket, IPL , it becomes like a job, hard to get motivated unless it hurts your place. Then they make amends. Also, there is too much attention , media glare, SM , fame to get distracted. Not every player is like Sachin Ramesh Temdulkar to stay focussed.

That passion doesn't last forever. He'll still be training hard but extra motivation can't come from within everyday
