In IPL 2024, Pandya has the highest salary as he would have received 50% of the transfer fee, which is rumored to be on the higher side!

PS INR 15 Cr Salary + 50% of the Transfer Fee

Folks, I am going to close the poll early since the top 2 contenders don't have any more matches to play anyway. If we end up with a tie, I may create a "Super Over" thread.

Rohit hands down. Can't believe people are voting for Pandya over him.

Rohit has had way more useful contributions than Pandya who sucked with bat, ball and captaincy.

Pandya bowls too, also a better fielder. I will give his batting some leeway over Rohit.

Anyways on second thought I would say Starc did worse than both of them, especially considering his 25cr! paycheck.

You mean bowls bad too. And he did nothing in fielding either the entire season. The question is what they did, not what can they do.

I voted Rohit but Hardik Starc and Maxwell are on same level IMO.

I did not expect much from Hardik but I had some expectations left from Rohit which he killed this IPL. This is why he topped for me. Don't care about the Aussies Starc and Maxwell who will turn up well when Australia plays.

Yeah Pandya has had a horror season. Rohit outperformed him towards the end. He is obviously low on confidence due to all the brickbats he has been facing. I would still say he has more utility as a T20 player than Rohit who is always underwhelming in the IPL.

The impact player rule has reduced the importance of Pandya in IPL but as the only decent Pace AR that we have got he's still crucial for Internationals.

i am in a dilemna and not able to decide among -

jaydev Unadkat

Deepak Chahar

rituraj ( as an opener he failed big time, he was given flat patta's to score a lot of runs and he failed)

wridhiman Saha

ravi chandran ashwin - he considers himself as no 1 Spinner in India but what was his performance?

and a few more- ideal LALLU Players who failed in this world Cup.

Hardik was coming back after INJURY , expecting him to become a SUPER HERO immediately is not realistic. he had some serious injury and I feel he is on the recovery path and Mumbai public made him into a VIllian so he was under too much of Pressure and that's why he failed big time , he has attitude and is egoistic but I CAN TELL you

he is Super talented ..a bowler capable to bowl 140K+ and a batsman capable of real BIG SHOTS and maintaining high strike rate

Ruturaj is not a failure.  Until last two innings he was the second best MVP batter this IPl season.  Definitely choked in the crnuch game.  But for him they would have been out long back.

Some cricketing experts consider him better than Jaiswal and Gill and the best batting talent India has. even I agree he is a good batsman.

i used to open the batting and hence I realise that When an Opener does not get OUT in first 4 overs , he starts reading the Pitch very well. it happened with me if I did not get out in first 4 to 5 overs , I used to get out after scoring a 50 or 70...it would be very difficult to get me out. not just with me but this happens with most openers.

ritu had some serious opportunities. abhishek sharma was way behind of rituraj and now abhishek is likely to get into the world CUP team before 25th May 2024.

Rituraj was considered as a future INDIA captain too but I would say he has messed up many opportunities on FLAT PATTA's.

that's why I said he has under performed.

A Riyan Parag or a rinku come to bat at no 5 and hardly have any balls to face and showcase their talent , if they had opportunities to OPEN on flat tracks, they would have been in serious contention for world cup team.

RUturaj is still one of the best prospect. Only late last year he made 123 in 57 balls against Australia. He hasn't messed up. Yes he has this circumspect tendency exactly like KL Rahul, Rohit sharma. But good prospect given his ability against spin and short ball. We are still not sure what the line up will be in LOIs for the future. Gill showed consistency then tapered off. Jaiswal also started well then tapered off. We have to play these guys together for a while not one guy here one guy there. That doesn't work.  Unfortunately once Kohli/Rohit return they have to vacate the spot. That is why slow growth rate for youngsters. No continutiy.
