Folks,

Which team is worse, and a bigger joke. Is it RBC who haven't won a single IPL trophy yet despite getting to playoffs 9 times!

Or is it Team India who hasn't won anything in a decade and just like RCB, they get to knockouts and then get beaten by everyone.

Common thread between the two? King Kohli! Haven't seen a bigger panauti ever! I mean across RCB and India, "King" Kohli's team has been to knockouts/playoffs a whopping 18 or 19 times (across IPL playoffs, ODI WC, WT20, WTC finals), and yet not even a single title! Undisputed king of choking and I doubt anyone can beat this level of manhoosiyat :hail:

WC 11 and CT 13

When we have likes of Kohli and Rohit in the team, what else can we expect? You can see his performances fall off the cliff in IPL and the same happens at intl level. Yet we select him for the next tourney. That's the very definition of insanity, i.e., doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

I mean Kohli has had 20+ chances in playoffs/knockouts across formats and yet not even a single impactful knock! It's clear as day the guy buckles under pressure and yet he's selected for yet another tourney. I mean what exactly do you think he'll do? If he hasn't played one match-defining innings in 20+ chances in more than a decade, what makes you think he'll do it now?

Do you mean Rohit? Kohli definitely has some good knocks,Rohit nothing

Indian team management gives importance to superstars nd their reputation than form or current ability. For BCCI, winning an ICC tournament is almost secondary to promoting their superstars and satisfying their die hard fans who only care about their records and watching them do well. As long as this culture continues, similar results will continue. Don't expect anything else.

Aussies win most ICC tournaments as they put team above the individual and only the team winning matters.

We have that pool in cricket, with all the attention diverted towards it. Not talking about other sports.

Even so, I still doubt that much riches in cricket.

Rohit is worse but both have shyte the bed in the knockouts. One match-defining innings in a knockout could've won us a tourney but neither stepped up. Majority of their contributions have been in league matches. Nothing much in knockouts.

Just an observation: The contrast between the theme of this post/thread and your signature at bottom? Striking!

haven't had a chance to update the signature for more than a decade now thanks to our stars choking continuously.

Shows clearly how Raina and Dhoni were so much better than the "king" and "Hitman". And that shows how India won 3 ICC tourneys between 2007 and 2013 when likes of Raina, Dhoni, Gambhir and Yuvi were in prime. Kohli and Rohit can't handle the pressure of knockouts and it shows in our performances over the last decade.

I'm hoping this WT20 failure would be the final one of the superstars and the next generation is more like Raina & Dhoni than Rohit & Kohli
