Gollum Posted May 25 Author Share Posted May 25 Nov 19th will leave a generational mental scar on Indians. 2003 final wasn't 1% this bad, that Aussies team was GOAT, match was in Joburg, and whilst chasing we didn't beat them from 1998 Sharjah to 2007 Mumbai !!!! Aussies justified their WC win by sending a second string team to TVS tri series later that year and beating us comfortably, then the 2006 CT game in Mohali. That cowardly decision cost us both WTC final and mental edge gained from Gabba, and gave the TM more confidence in their doctoring method.....dunno how long we'll pay the price. I agree India lost the mental edge we had over Australia during those two final BGT tests at home. I think most of us had anticipated defeat in WTC final too once squad was announced.
