Moral Science and Civic sense needs to be mandatory. When I was in school, we were given the punishment to cut the grass...this needs to be encouraged as a habit in weekly schedule...so that people will do it voluntarily. Nowadays, kids in school are encouraged to do non-flame cooking (once in every quarter), where they will do the cooking and then will wash their own utensils...

With the Americans, it was slavery first , protectionism from superior European products for a long time and then dollar imperialism etc. Britain did not get great navy overnight. They learnt the art of shipbuilding and mathematics through Jesuits in India and China during medieval period like humble hardworking students. Americans, yes they did benefit from slavery. But let's not forget the spirit of meritocracy which played a big role in America's rise, especially the working class. Nikhil_cric 1

There is my friend and not on their plight but how they ( including railways) are going about it. People have gone berserk. Sleeping in the bathroom. Sleeping over each other. Fighting over inch of space. Hanging on the steps of ICF coaches and travelling. AC reserved coaches going like general unreserved coaches.

AC reserved coaches going like general unreserved coaches. People need to travel, and during the time of festivals, everyone left-right-center is travelling to their hometowns. Regular trains are inadequate to fill in the demands, and even though specials do run, most people aren't aware of it, hence they end up flogging the same train. Ex. From Hyderabad to varanasi, there is only one daily train. Even though there are weeklies and specials running...they're hardly 60-70% full. Hence, the same daily train is taking 140-150% or even more of it's intended capacity. One more reason is as specials run on squeeze slots, they often end up taking longer time than usual to reach the destination. Flights are too damn costly, at times 12-15k per person one way. How can railways allows reserved AC coaches to go like General coaches. That has to stop even if people cannot travel.
