India doesn't give out dual citizenship.

Just say hail donald trump

Love this strategy.  Keep saying you're going to win. Keep pushing the narrative that the other side is doing everything they can illegally to keep you from winning - from creating allowing non-citizens to vote en masse to ... get this ... actually.  changing.  the.  weather.  to somehow disadvantage Republican voters. Yes, Democrats are changing the weather to disadvantage republicans.

https://www.wired.com/story/hurricane-milton-geoengineer-lasers-fema-conspiracy-theories-debunk/

Politicians and right-wing influencers have spread conspiracy theories online suggesting that Hurricane Milton has been geoengineered by nefarious forces, with the end goal of preventing Republicans from voting in the presidential election.

The “weather weapon” theory and others began proliferating when Hurricane Helene made landfall nearly two weeks ago, leaving at least 230 dead. And now, some of these wild narratives are not only reverberating on fringe corners of the internet but also are being spread by major accounts—chief among them, GOP congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.

Greene, after spending years trying to distance herself from her infamous 2018 remarks on social media blaming wildfires on “Jewish Space Lasers,” is now using this climate emergency to double down on weather conspiracies and lasers.

While Greene stopped short of blaming Jews for the hurricanes, she has promoted conspiracies that have a history of being steeped in antisemitism. “Yes they can control the weather,” Greene wrote on X on October 3 about the hurricanes, without specifying who “they” are. “It’s ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it can’t be done.”

Greene later surfaced a 11-year-old CBS News clip featuring futurist and physicist Michio Kaku discussing experimental lab research into weather modification using lasers. “Lasers,” Greene wrote. “CBS, 9 years ago, talked about lasers controlling the weather.” Right-wing blog The Gateway Pundit, which is known for trafficking in conspiracy theories, gave Greene a major boost on Tuesday with the headline “Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Weather Manipulation Claims Backed by Science—Must Read Deep Dive into History of Weather Manipulation—Shocking Facts Revealed!”

On Monday, amid desperate evacuation warnings, Greene unleashed a hot new take. “Climate change is the new Covid,” she wrote. “Ask your government if the weather is manipulated or controlled. Did you ever give permission to them to do it? Are you paying for it? Of course you are.”

Other recent conspiracy theories that have dominated social media have been directed toward the Federal Emergency Management Agency, a long-standing target of anti-government narratives. Some have falsely claimed that the agency was intentionally withholding relief to punish Trump-supporting enclaves or that the organization had spent all its money on the border and foreign wars.

Those conspiracy theories, parroted by Donald Trump and other high-profile Republicans, have muddied the zone and hampered relief efforts. “The GREAT people of North Carolina are being stood up by Harris and Biden, who are giving almost all of the FEMA money to Illegal Migrants,” Trump wrote in one of many posts shared to Truth Social.

Over the weekend, the White House put out a memo titled “Fighting Hurricane Helene Falsehoods With Facts,” debunking some dominant narratives about FEMA’s relief efforts—stating that, for example, no money had been diverted from disaster response needs toward the border.

“Disinformation of this kind can discourage people from seeking critical assistance when they need it most,” the memo said. "It is paramount that every leader, whatever their political beliefs, stops spreading this poison."

This hasn’t stopped other accounts online from weighing in. Private equity manager Grant Cardone, who holds a yellow-ticked “verified organization” account on X, claimed that he’d never seen a hurricane follow a path like the one Milton was on. (Readers added context, noting that while it’s an uncommon track, it has been seen at least six times in the Gulf of Mexico since 1851). “Do you think Gov’t is using technology to manipulate weather patterns & storms?” Cardone asked in a post that’s been viewed over 5 million times.

So. now, if you lose, you can say ... we were winning! But see what they did. Ready made excuse. What a joke.

Trump wants to put high tariffs on items produced in India and exported to USA.

Royal Enfield bikes might be taxed more if he wants to reciprocate.

This clown will bully our country :((

@coffee_rules @Chaos- you better not vote for this clown and stay home during the elections

Our (Indian) exports to US is hardly that high to impact our economy , compared to China. He’s being facetious about India. One Howdy event and lobbying will do to fix it. Kamala OTOh will sell USA to China

Yes. Off course. But you don't need to have dual citizenship from India. A foreign passport and OCI works fine.

You can’t push crazies to push a narrative. OTTH liberals use serious media to push a narrative and gaslight the voters. I guess it is  ok for democrats like Obama through MSM like CNN, ABC , CBS, MSNBC push a narrative that this will be the last election as Trump win means end of democracy?  He will abolish the constitution and there will be no elections. Sounds familiar with Indian perspective with Modi? Fear-mongering happens both sides . Only difference is that some RW crazy fringe does it or US RW, the MSM and democrat ecosystem does it for the liberal left, worldwide. What merit does Kamala have that the whole liberal media says she’s good for US, just because she’s not Trump? For me a known devil is better than an unknown angel.

Difference? In Trump's case, those fears are at least partly valid due to the statements he has himself made in the past. Has Modi ever said this sort of thing? I highy doubt it - he seems too upright for that. In the unlikely event that BJP loses the next election, can you see Modi inciting riots? I can't. But it is clear Trump did it (unless you ask Vivek Ramaswamy, who thinks it was an inside job :-)))!!)

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-tells-christians-they-wont-have-vote-after-this-election-2024-07-27/

“You won’t have to do it anymore,” Trump said at the Turning Point Believers’ Summit in Florida. “It’ll be fixed; it’ll be fine; you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians.”

https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-call-suspend-constitution-gop-debate-chris-christie-1822131

In December 2022, while continuing to push the false claim that he lost the 2020 election due to widespread voter fraud, Trump suggested the "termination of all rules...even those found in the Constitution" was merited.

Bottom line: Just because Modi and Trump face similar criticisms doesn't make them similar people. I get your friend-of-India POV, but disagree with it mainly because Trump is not trustworthy. All the "I like Modi" BS coming from him is a "beautiful" facade, IMO.

To your point about crazies, there are levels. It is one thing to make outlandish predictions out of fear-mongering, but to make outlandish conclusions about stuff that has already happened in the form of a natural disaster - it is right there in front of our eyes for everyone to see - is just stupid.

Finally, Trump is very much one of the crazies (as is Elon Musk - the bastion of free speech). The big lie about Haitian pet-eating - in a national debate? How much more crazy should it get?

A few polls predicting trump in michigan and other rust belt states coming through now....

Quite possible. Of course, if Harris manages to pull them off, we can always blame voter fraud.

If Trump wins, I am betting that at least one leftie will blame climate change :-).  It was too hot/cold/snowy for Democrats to vote.

Similar arguments were made when Gore won in 2000 and W won in 2004, that they stole the election. Hillary cries even now about 2016 collusion and Dems even got congressional and court hearings on collusion. Few people arrested but how is it that by running some content on FB/Twitter, 50% decided to vote against Clinton? After 2016, Antifa went around rioting in cities for two days incited by who ? Not my President!  How about BLM rioting and looting, Dems supporting BLM has no backing of the rioting? They want anarchy .

I didn’t even said Trump is good because he supports Modi. I am wary of Trump’s eccentricities, but doubt he can do anything to democracy or constitution. Even Presidents of the past have been impeached in lesser breaches like Nixon. Trump has his life to fear with two failed attempts by the deep state of course with Dem backing

How about crying about Disenfranchising minority votes through voter intimidation? Or Russia again?

eccentricities

Understatement of the millenium :-).

Of course there are leftist crazies. And those riots were absolutely wrong and should not have happened. But, the point here is about election subversion riots directly attacking Congress with Trump clearly making statements inciting them. In any case, my point was to rebut your comparison of Trump with Modi in terms of making statements about never having to vote and suspending the constitution - which Trump has clearly done. In my opinion, there is no comparison between insane Trump and sane Modi.

Also, with Gore, after initially protesting and filing court cases, he quietly conceded with no drama when the decision dragged over 537 votes. Trump still has not conceded that he lost in 2020.

At any rate, you can sleep easy knowing that your Presidential vote in NJ ain't gonna count :-).

But, for me, in a swing state it is different, guru.

You are a learned man. A tenured prof. How can you think of voting Kamala? I’d rather vote for a mailbox or a lamp-post. And all of the media ecosystem is hailing her now “unburdened by what she has been.” :hysterical:

It is highly hypocritical of Dems to complain about democracy after they subverted people’s choice of Biden with a coup of stupid cackling Kamala.

Notwithstanding the "learned" adjective being totally off-base :-), I see what you are saying about these politicians in general. To me, this is an election of someone having a modicum of decency, and Trump simply does not. If it was anyone else on the R side, I would at least listen.

Plus, in NC, his cronies - like Mark Robinson - are unmatched in their craziness. I simply cannot do it.

Well trump will not be good for India economically. But Kamla or the surrogate establishment won't be good for India geo politically.

India needs them the get their focus out of North East and stop creating further fissures. India will grow 6% plus notwithstanding.

So I support Trump. Next 5 years crucial for India to get to $ 7 Trn. Trump Whitehouse keeps the deep state distracted enough for us to focus.
